Looks like some good flicks to watch tonight on THE HISTORY CHANNEL !!!

  True Warriors
 Death from Above
 Tune In:
Sunday, September 26 @ 7pm ET/PT

Behind Taliban lines in the foreign and notoriously dangerous terrain of Afghanistan, three Air Force commandos go hunting for terrorists in October 2002. Flaunting the notion of capture, Andy Kubik, Calvin Markham, and Bart Decker scout potential Taliban targets on foot or by horse, provide F-16s with real-time intelligence, paint each target with a laser pointer, and watch as precision bombs obliterate Taliban strongholds. This is the story of these little-known super soldiers.   TV PG-L

  True Warriors
 Escape from Liberia
 Tune In:
Sunday, September 26 @ 8pm ET/PT

September 1998, Monrovia, Liberia. Rebel gangs clash in the streets and plunge the West African city into revolutionary anarchy. For several days, Diplomatic Security Service (DSS) Special Agents Tony Diebler, Scott Folensbee, and Steve Fakan have been foraying into the raging streets to rescue and evacuate U.S. Embassy employees and fellow Americans. Now a new crisis emerges--a group of journalists, pinned down in a nearby hotel, is about to be slaughtered. But not if our True Warriors can help it!   TV 14-V

True Warriors
 Urgent Fury
 Tune In:
Sunday, September 26 @ 9pm ET/PT

October 25, 1983, Operation Urgent Fury. The Navy's newest, top-secret weapon against terrorism, SEAL Team Six, gets its first "hot" operation--a danger-fraught mission to restore democracy to Grenada, a tiny Caribbean country hijacked by Cuban communists. Told they will face only light resistance, SEAL Team Six's job is to rescue the trapped Grenadian Governor. But they fast-rope into a hornet's nest of small arms fire and anti-aircraft artillery. Set up to fail, SEAL Team Six simply refused!   TV PG-LV

Enjoy,

AC

Cool.  Thanks for the heads up.

I wish there was a way to get cable service for just the History Channel only.  I hate paying for all the other crap.

I watched the show.  The weapons used in the reenactments were pretty hokey. In the diplomatic security story they had a rifle scope mounted on the front site of and the carry handle of an AR15, plus what looked like a lawn mower muffler on the muzzle.

Did you see the shit going on in Liberia? Natives running around shooting everything in sight and cutting each other nuts and heads off dressed in wigs and costumes.  Kinda reminded me of Detroit.  Total anarchy.

The scope taped to the M-16 handle and frontsite post was classic.  Other than the bad guns, it was great.

The cat carrying the scoped M-16 was a "sniper" maybe we just didn't recognize the carbine sniper version of the M-16.  I also thought it was interesting that each checkpoint the two DS guys came to was manned by the same guys only wearing different wigs.  Guess the HC's staffing budget is kinda slim too.  I think they woulda been better off with one of the Sarge's productions.
