Just something I made.....
  Thinking of add a whole tray as the bottom part so parts can be held. Can also be mounted vertically Sgtar15 |

hmm... where have I seen that before?
 I will say, the mag contour is nice on the vertical post. Some really hard finish and a bevel around the top of the wood, to keep it from tearing up on the mag release couldn't hurt. |

Cool.
 Thanks for the inspiration (of a good future project). Paint the 'mag'/support to match the gun. Hmm... Wonder what it would take to make the support (mag) curved... Should be easy. Take a real one and trace it onto the wood. Instead of slicing the bottom of it off to hold the rifle horizontal, how 'bout one long black bolt/screw through the base and into the 'mag'. |

That is Black Walnut that I used. I haven't stained or done anything to it yet. The tops may need rounding.

Nice. Now make one with a larger base for stability when cleaning or doing trigger work. And maybe something that could be used as a vertical wall mount for several ARs.
