Recently I have walked up next to people with Kerry/Edwards bumper stickers getting into or out of their cars at the grocery store, or pulled up next to a car with a Kerry/Edwards bumper sticker at a stoplight (windows down). I'm torn between trying to engage these people in meaningful discussion in an attempt to straighten them out and just saying something to piss them off such as:
"I saw your Kerry/Edwards bumper sticker. Funny, you don't look stupid. Huh." What would you guys say, if anything? |
I just put Bush stickers on the Impala today.
Probaly no use trying to use reason on them. |
say nothing. leave the reactions to them. the've already cut my GF off on the road & cussed at her because of her bush sticker. and they've already keyed up her GW sticker on the back of the car.
if you're not gonna do what BUCC_Guy says, don't do anything. |
I myself would not say anything, as I do respect thier right to opinion and franchise. However, I do like to pass them, get in front of their little Tercels with my F150 LITTERED with right-wing-wacko stickers, and force them to read what I have to say, and I catch their eye, I like to laugh at them.
Sadly, it is too late for them. They are lost.
I do however take comfort in the fact that I'm armed for they will soon become violent (Nov. 3rd to be exact) and I'll need to defend myself. -LS |
I just get in front of them and toss a handfull of roofing nails out the sunroof.
JOKING! |
While wearing my Army jacket today, I saw an old friend (so it wasn't just some random stranger) with a Kerry sticker and told him if he cared about me (as a soldier) he'd get rid of that. He laughed, it was all in good nature.
If people have sKerry/Edwards stickers on their car they are most likely braindead, so there is no reason to try to reason with them.
thecleaner,
Well said. What can you say? I just shake my head and take a good look at what Kerry supporters look like. Then shake my head some more. Heard a radio show this week. the topic was whats happened to you because of your Bush/Cheney sign or stiker. It was sickening. most of em look kinda like this guy.... |
I've been in Texas for a month. The two people that have cut me off so far... one had CA plates, the other had a Kerry/Edwards sticker (and Doublefeed was there for that one).
The problem is those 2 things just might be true |

"GOOD GAWD>> DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW HAD IT WILL BE TO REMOVE THAT BUMPER STICKER ONCE HE LOSES?!!"
Always pisses them off!! |

Well, I saw a new one today that was even harder to understand: "Republicans for Kerry"
????????? |
Bad hippy Bad Hippy, Go bathe |

I'm completely surrounded by people like this. My mom has a Kerry/Edwards sticker on her car. Her friend helped to write the Kerry speech at the Dem Convention. My best friend works for an organization called Music for America, which is funded by Soros and MoveOn. I'm a union member and at lunch I have to listen to all the guys on the job complain about Republicans.
I just mind my business and keep quiet. I have no bumper stickers on my truck. I'm a one-man Republican "sleeper cell" and I live in PA where it counts! |

"Dude, I don't know if you know it, but someone vandalized your car" There's a d@mn Kerry sticker on the back! |
I'm a union member as well for now but I leave for Army basic next month
My steward took a pause from his "leave" (read: paid vacation by the union to stop representing us and go campaign on my dollar for a candidate I don't like) to come in and pass out Kerry stickers, I pointed to the Army logo on my jacket and said "not a chance in hell" He too just laughed and moved on like the friend I mentioned above, these people don't realize what's going on here. |
Good one! |
I don't see many of them, thankfully. But when I do, they're generally accompanied by much more sinister stickers on abortion, gun confiscation, and other issues. One guy I saw had literally converted his Ford Focus into a rolling left/liberal billboard. It was sad, and left me speechless.
Remember the Alamo, and God Bless Texas... |
The Kerry/Edwards stickers don't bother me.
Bush-bashing stickers piss me the fuck off. |
It's the difference between saying, "I'm stupid" and "I'm stupid AND and an ASSHOLE". |

Zombies? CW |
Dont you talk about the undead like that |
Just hand them a "Mr. Yuk!" sticker to put on it. (Truth in advertising!)
Ummmm...I say nothing?
Not like I know these people, and they are liberals, so why would I say anything? SGtar15 |
Just get a big shit-eatin' grin on your face and say, BETTER LUCK NEXT TIME! (It goes good with a "Thumbs-up" gesture at the same time)

All day long in Seattle I hold up four fingers and mouth "Four more years", boy oh boy does that piss em off!
I just got off the phone with my life long demonrat anti gun Mom back east. We have discussed politics every phone call for months, er I have discussed..... Seems like I got thru somewhere along the way. I hadnt asked until today, "Do you know yet who you are voting for"? "I will be voting for Bush. There is no choice". If my Mom is voting GW, so are a lot of other lieberals. 4 More years!!! |
I have a feeling that once a lot of democrats get into the voting booth, they are not going to be able to pull the lever for Kerry and will vote for Bush or someone else. |
I'm not sure about that attitude. These people are trying their damnedest to separate me from my money, my rights, and my safety. Frankly, that deserves some sort of reaction. When I see a Kerry/Edwards sticker, they get the finger. Sorry for not being able to be the bigger man. |
I would say nothing. People who would vote for SKerry likely fall into one (or all) of several categories: 1) Stupid 2) Lazy and looking for a handout 3) Both of the above In spite of this, they have their 1st Amendment rights intact. You are not going to convert them into worthwhile people by confronting them. I try not to notice, and just go about my life with a "live and let live" attitude. OTOH, if they were broke down along the road, I would NOT help them. I have changed tires and otherwise assisted many, many people over the years who were stranded--but "compassionate conservativism" has limits. Those who would support a traitorous bastard like SKerry are beyond my limits. |
Worse than people w/ kerry/edwards stickers are the ones that just can't get over the 2000 election. I actually saw a guy comming up from Florida about a month ago, driving his high dollar sports car with a personalized plate that said GOREWON, I can't beileve that someone obviously smart and successfull enough to make that kid of money (Nice car and all) would be so ignorant in actuallity.
I was in uniform, and in a Gov't sedan but still came along side him and mouthed real slow while shakeing my head "NO" that he didn't . He smerked and pulled ahead. |
There's a military surplus store right outside Quantico Marine Base. cost me $5 for 3. I just added a new one that says "In Guns We Trust- E Pluribus BANG!" |
"So, finally found a sticker to cover up your old Gore/Lieberman one, eh?"

+1. I just shake my head when I go by. |
