FlugWerk GmbH

I was always impressed with the Focke Wulf 190 series, and saw this company listed in "Fly By"
(aviation-oriented preservation/restoration magazine). They are going to make 12 of these for sale,
one of which is already here in the United States, in LA.

Maiden flight:

You buy it in kit form, and do it yourself, or have somebody do it for you:

Current price is 555,000 Euros, or $679,784.51 USD
But, I guess if you have $$ to play with, why not buy the best toys!

They are also involved in manufacturing replacement parts for the Bf Me109 F & G models, as well
as assemblies for the P-51 series of aircraft.

Only if it includes MG's, cannons, and bombs.

It looks cool, but I would really prefer a Stuka with sirens and flour bombs.

If only it were of authentic design and construction, and at 1:1 scale!

It's 1:1 and  entire airframe is as close as 98% to the original.  They substituted the BMW engine with an Asch 82 (Same engine as the Russian La-5/7/9).  Just too bad can't mount some MG 151's and Mk 108's on this bird.

Gotta love this quote:

Don't bother asking about : fuel consumption, cost of maintenance etc...It is loud, it is fast, it is mean, but most of all it is fun and yes, it just has one seat !!!

There was a blurb a few years back about a company making Mk.IX Spits as well. The price then was a cool mil. Also I believe someone is making same-era MIG's and Yak's as well.

Oh to have a couple mil to blow.

Hope you are little bitty guy when get one, otherwise you'll have to watch someone else fly your toy; and that is like watching someone else kiss your wife.

Yakovlev is now making Yak-9s in Russia for export as a sports plane, using the Allison V-1710 as a powerplant.  There are several in America now.  I saw one at an air show three weeks ago.  It was beautiful.  The pilots say the little fighter is fast, manueverable and a blast to fly.

A company in Washington is making Me-262s now on demand.  The birds are made to exact specs except for the mandatory upgrades to avionics and engines.  The new lighter engines give it a much faster speed  than the original (540mph) but the mfgr. has restricted the flight envelope for safety reasons.  It really flies too!  www.stormbirds.com/project/index.html

One of the finest fighters of WWII.

Can I get one with the 20mm Cannons & 7.92mm MG's option?

Yeah, really good plane. Took a lot of punishment and could give it out too. fast and mean. A lot like the other German engineered war machine. Impressive. Thansk for the link! And the pics too. Take care.

The baseline figure for purchase of a completed aircframe (less engines and avionics) is USD 2,000,000.00. This figure is expect to rise somewhat after the initial flight test program has been completed.

I found a website a while back that has a B-29 in parts for 1.3 mill, they'd sell it finished and flying for 2 or 3 mil.

Actually, if I was going to have an old warbird, I think I'd like a Douglas SBD.
