... anonymous poll, vote with your heart.
... I don't want arguments here. That's what garandman's thread if for. |
you're going to need some posts to keep bumping it
that and I want to tag it. |

Could a blind fatalism be productive of intelligent beings?
1 Vote for Special Creation. |
+1 IBTR (In Before The Result) PIE!!! As a side note, people often have pondered which came first, the chicken or egg. I assert it was the rooster. |
The poll is skewed. They are both one and the same thing. Creationism and Evolution
Actually its "Viva la evolución".....and I couldn't agree more. |
I 'believe' in creation.....of course, what *I* believe really doesn't change the truth one way or another.
evolution, although I don't have a problem with the idea that a god could be directing that evolution
Nothing in a dimensionless void exploded and created time, space ,and energy hence starting the evolutionary process
And math can prove it There are only 2 types of people who beleive this theory, The .0000000000001% of the population that understand it and sheep that blindely follow. And without the big bang, evolution is a crock o shit aint it ? |
a little bit of both.
I think God created the universe, but I don't believe that Adam and Eve are historical people. And anyone with sense sees the principle of evolution every day. |
The beginning of the world has nothing to do with evolution.
Well, except in the sense that evolution is simply a specific case of NATURAL BEHAVIOR. |
God created the forces and laws that drive the formation of new planets, so why don't people believe he created the forces and laws which drive the formation of new species? |
Neither. The account of Creation in the Prologue of the Gospel According to St. John.
Choose a side, dammit. I DEMAND you choose a side an argue endlessly with people whose minds you will not change!! Play by the "AR15.com evolution/creation thread" rules, dammit!! |

I assert that evolution requires as much faith to believe as creationism. There has been NO reasonable evidence to support any of the hypotheses to come down the pike to explain it.
1. Life cannot arise from non-life. Even if evolution were true, that original single celled organism HAD to be created by somebody. 2. If everything evolved from everything else in tiny gradual stages there should be TRILLIONS of transitive forms for us to find. When we dig anywhere in the ground we should find nothing BUT transitive forms. They have yet to find one. eta: Evolution also is dangerous because it implies that some humans are more advanced than others. Evolution fit rather nicely with Nazi racialist theory because they could say that Africans/Jews/Gypsies etc were technologically and culturally backward because they were genetically inferior. Aryans by contrast were hardier, more hardworking, and generally more intelligent because they had to be in order to survive in a harsher climate. Even today scientists come dangerously close to repeating that thinking by saying white people are white because they evolved with less melanin in order to absorb more sunlight in northern temeprate zones. |
Give me a break, god created the world in 7 days. Why would it even take more then a sec, for gods sake he's god why would he need to rest??
"There has been NO reasonable evidence to support any of the hypotheses to come down the pike to explain it."
Have you ever heard of the Galapogos(sp?) Islands. Please explain the exsistance of the Marine Iguana and the other unique flora/fauna on these Islands. Evolution Rules! |
I never really hated a one true god
but the god of the people I hated You said you wanted evolution the ape was a great big hit You say you want a revolution, man and I say that you're full of shit |
LOL. Seriously, if you believe inevolution, something akin to a modern chicken laid the first chicken egg. If you believe in creation, the chicken was created fully grown by God. |

it is just as plausible and equally supported by that "evidence" that a creator created those animals specifically for that region with unique characteristics that would allow them to survive in that environment. That is not really evidence in support of evolution. |
STOP CALLING IT EVOLUTION!
It is called The Theory of Nateraul Selection! And anyone with 1/2 a brain can see the validity in it. And if your faith in God is threathened by science the you have very little faith in God indeed! Sgatr15 |

To look around at all things on and of this earth and what little we know of the whole universe and think it all just happened by chance is foolish in my humble opinion.
bump to top...
also to add that I would suggest you vote woth your brain (hopefully a rational one) and not your "heart." |
When you post a typo in bigger font, it looks even worse.
I'm not saying there isn't a process of natural selection. I'm saying that natural selection cannot result in new species. A shitzu and a dalmatian are both dogs. Natural selection will never result in a dog with gills. |
... And you believe semblances of order can't come from a chaotic universe? Do you realize there are only 109 known discreet elements combined with only one or more of the four only known forces of the universe that makes up everything we see and touch? Following your rationale, the universe would splinter off into infinite divisions of mutations of life forms. Life forms (animal & plant) tend to stay "grouped" together in similar form because of genetics. If you fuck with those genetics (gamma rays, neutrinos, parasitic viruses) over time mutations will occur. ... And you Creationists, "Lucy" considered by forensic archaeologists as one of the first proto-humans ever discovered looks more like a monkey to me than the babes down at my local watering hole. Why? because the babes EVOLVED over 5 million years. A very short span, considering we believe the oldest life form known to exist on the planet were a bacteria called Stromatolites. They are 3 billion years old. ... We have all evolved, we will continue to evolve. 5 million years from now, humans (if the species is still around) will not look anything like the people today - because they will have evolved even more. |
But weren't all gods creatures taken in twos on the ark?
Did they drop them off on the way? I kid of course. beleive what you want, one things for sure. we all gonna find out eventually what's on the other side. evolution here. Chris

lucy is not a proven specimin. Lucy is a fabrication of 30+ individual skeletons found in completely different locations arranged on a table by a scientist looking for a Nobel prize.
Yes, Nether theory is inconsistent with the other and both can exist in the same belief sphere. |
He created it in 6 days not 7. The Bible doesn't say He needed to rest. It just says He rested. |
Yea, that is always a possibility. |
God created the first
Some randomly scattered So God started it. Evolution is just one of Gods tools. That's what I believe. |
