I just got home from work tonight and some assholes were in my apartment. They came in threw a open window over the stairs. They riped out the screen and climb in. I live on the third floor and the window was over the flight of stairs. They did fortunately leave quite a few very good finger prints on the windows and over the dust covered railing out side the window and on the cheap glass gun cabinet door. I never clean the inside or outside of my windows, hope full this will pay off with some nice prints. All that was taken was a pieced together 98K 8mm with excessive headspace, a playstation 2 and some change from a jar. Feel sorry for who ever took the mauser and the 45rds of turk 8mm and decides to fire the gun. I was robbed this time last year. They kicked the door in and they stole my Saiga 12ga. They left the SP-1 AR-15 and the Egyptian Hakim.  Fortunately they were dumb fucks. I don't keep anything here now but listened to a friend and put a piece of shit gun out and some loose change and a few bucks. They grabbed quickly and ran out the door. I wish I could have a big fucking dog, instead all I have is a fat shaken up tabby cat. I will keep posted to the tards who hopefull get arrested.

Sorry for the trauma and loss.

Looks like you could use a cheap Homak cabinet or something along those lines.  The asswipes don't sound smart enough do deal with something even that simple.

Next year, same time, make sure you have another older gun in there (7.62?), do some welding inside the barrell, right past the chamber.
Gun can chamber, and fire....once.  Maybe they'll lose an eye.

Although justified, that would be illegal.  They need to go to jail, not him for making booby traps.

I'm sorry for your loss.  Keep us updated.

Sorry to hear about your lost. That is not good. I would get a cheap safe to put your hardware in. That way it would deter some of the casual burgalaris. The $120 Homack is okay is you have small collection. You've got to secure your place a little better, like a motion alarm, timer for your lights to give the impression that you''re at home, and of course a few decoy pieces to the fool the casual thieft, and of course don't blub your guns to anyone but extremely trusted people.

Forgot to add, maybe you should move, those crooks knows you've got guns, and you'r gonna get hit again.

Not realy, at that point it would technically no longer be considered a firearm and wouldn't even require registration.
Can you say dummy gun.

That turkish 8 is some hot shit ,but the mauser bolt has a gas relief cut on the bolt(bad headspace or not) the guy lucked out!    Next time buy a M-44 about fifty bucks, take one of the bullets out of the case ram it about half way down the barrel!   Leave a bandaleer of the 7.62X54R next to the  rifle!!!

Unlike the mauser it will not be so forgiving!

You know that Hakim really don't like that turk shit!!!

i would not leave a boobytrappped gun in the case.  you never know who is going to end up shooting it.  it's very likely the crooks will never use it (especially a rifle... crooks rarely ever use them) and will unknowingly pass the gun to somebody else, possibly a completely innocent person.
