I just use my arms in prone position and a US M1 sling. I can get as good accuracy from my hunting rifle as I can with a benchrest, and I'm getting a zero in a position much more likely to be used while hunting.

Ass pack from your 782 gear or an A.L.I.C.E pack. Spend your money on bullets, not BS.

prone, kneeling or offhand holds!
rests are for...well...benchresters! i won one those chinese (yeah...freakin' chicom crap at my local gun club's yearly drawing at the 3-position banquent!) adjustable rests. i used it once and it seemed to be ok. hang on...i'll get the 'name brand' (should been called "the peoples rifle rest factory no. 63" if there was any truth in advertising!)... it's a "san angelo". funny...i didn't know the spanish conquered mainland china. edit: i think this model costs about $40 retail and the leather bag (shot filled) costs about $5-$10. |
