"I felt I lived the prototypical American life - the way I grew up, the town I grew up in, my family life. Things that I cared about, things that I aspired to, they were just something that naturally came to me when I wrote. I think that this particular election is, at the core, a debate about the soul of the nation. I think we can move toward greater economic justice for all of our citizens, or we cannot. I think we can move toward a sane, responsible foreign policy, or we cannot. For me, these are issues that go right to the heart of the spiritual life of the nation. That is something I have written about. It cannot be abandoned and is worth fighting and fighting and fighting for."

- Bruce Springsteen

The sad thing is, as a kid growing up in the 80's, I remember playing "Born in the USA" constantly, thinking it was a patriotic song. If I'd only known then what I do now, I would have dumped those cassettes into a fire.

And has been for MANY years.

What do you expect from a RED comunist?  Yeah,  good ole " born in the USA" is a pinko commie.  The whole patriotic thing was dreamed up by him and his masters to suck America's youth in to his agenda.  Hey, dont knock, it worked.

Edited to add:  He is also a booger eater!  A pinko, commie, booger eater that couldnt sing shit if his mouth was packed plumb full of it!

Remember his song after 9/11...."My City of Ruins"?

In that song he keeps singing over and over..."come on rise up, come on rise up, come on rise up". Over and over. Yet I suppose he was really telling the left to rise up against this country and blame it for what the terrorists had done instead of rising up and dealing with the scumbags.

Thats kind of a bold statement with all the Texas boys round here.
To equate Mr. Nelson to this fag is equivalent of comparing your gay bike to moped.  There's no comparison for the moped.

about Springsteen.....he looks like Cat Stephens Muhanmmed in the making.

The phrase "economic justice" is a dead give away.  It's a hard left, Communistic term, reflecting the concept of aggressive redistribution of wealth through the command authority of the state.  Anytime you hear someone talk about "economic justice" beware!

Willie Nelson is buds with Jimmy Carter.  He does fundraisers for KERRY with Barbra Streisand and Neil Diamond for cryin out loud.

Are you kidding?

Here is your boy at the Demo Convention.  He was the headline act:

I stipped listening to Springsteen when I heard his song about being a draft dodger (I forget what it was called) I remember burning my bruce t-shirt.  Like probably a fe others I remember listening to "Born in the USA" thinking it was patriotic.  Or at least an honest American story.

Now I realize he is a serious pinko fuck.

Same thing with Willie Nelson, I appreciate the style of music, but the tax dodging fuck is perfectly willing to help elect pols who want to raise our taxes.

Don't you just get the biggest kick out of this with all these "stars" and their megamillions? OK, let's start with you, give some of your millions, and give up some of your mansions.  Ha, fat chance.  They talk about economic policy, but they have trust arrangements (oh, that's the way the law works, no control over it, not my fault)  and accaountants and lawyers who wouldn't even talk to us.

How about the phony Beatles, yammering about no countries and "economic justice", as well, etc.  Knighted, why not reject that?  Country houses worthy of Dukes.  Phonies,. all of them.

Of course, why should that be a surprise, they are derived from the biggest phony idea - Communism.  Has anyone been to Geneva?  Look at the lakeside house Lenin lived in.  Hah!  That's for him, everyone else can live in a hovel.

Here's some economic justice for you Bruce--we tax your income, weath and property at 100 percent and whatever is leftover (like your expensive collection of guitars) we burn!  Then you'll have what I have.

So Bruce "made it" but others can't without the intervention of the massive federal bureaucracy......always the same BS, guilt-ridden and vacuous.

Uh oh. I'm gonna catch it for this one.

Sprinsteen's music, at least the stuff up through side 3 of The River, was instrumental in the delinquency of my youth. The songs were about being kind of a young, wayward, girl-and-car-crazy, rebellious misfit, which from time to time, I think I was. Songs like Born to Run and It's Hard to Be a Saint in the City really reached me. The one that impacted me the most was probably Growin' Up, and that song still means a lot to me. In fact, despite being pissed at Springsteen for a number of years for his leftist activism, I recently went out to get Live 1975-1985 on CD. So many of the songs on that collection have a really indescribable energy, particularly the ones that were recorded before 1982.

Growin' Up

I stood stone-like at midnight, suspended in my masquerade
I combed my hair till it was just right and commanded the night brigade
I was open to pain and crossed by the rain and I walked on a crooked crutch
I strolled all alone through a fallout zone and come out with my soul untouched
I hid in the clouded wrath of the crowd, but when they said, "Sit down," I stood up
Ooh... growin' up

The flag of piracy flew from my mast, my sails were set wing to wing
I had a jukebox graduate for first mate, she couldn't sail but she sure could sing
I pushed B-52 and bombed them with the blues with my gear set stubborn on standing
I broke all the rules, strafed my old high school, never once gave thought to landing
I hid in the clouded wrath of the crowd, but when they said, "Come down," I threw up
Ooh... growin' up

I took month-long vacations in the stratosphere, and you know it's really hard to hold your breath
I swear I lost everything I ever loved or feared, I was the cosmic kid in full costume dress
Well, my feet they finally took root in the earth, but I got me a nice little place in the stars
And I swear I found the key to the universe in the engine of an old parked car
I hid in the mother breast of the crowd, but when they said, "Pull down," I pulled up
Ooh... growin' up
Ooh... growin' up

Belittle me if you will, but the words and music of Bruce Springsteen up to the early '80s meant a lot to me then, and they mean a lot to me now.

By the way, I blame Julianne Philips for ruining the Boss.

Bullshit.  Willie Nelson is one of Bubba Clinton's bestest buddies.  Springsteen is a weenie liberal socialist scumbag, but he has nothing on Willie in that regard.

Funny that these high school dropouts who can play guitar think we should agree with their economic policies.

In reality, they are but court jesters.

It makes you want to download his music w/o paying, now that is economic justice!

Here in NJ he is revered as the secong coming of Christ. I actively try to speak out about my loathing for him whenever I can.

I cant stand his music, if it can be called that or his politics. Anyone who buys his music or any of thise other asshats that are on that propaganda tour of theirs, example:

Dave Mathews
Peral Jam
Dixie Chicks

is contributing to the enemy cause. Remember, without their money and fame, they're opinion is viewed as just as meaningless as yours or mine in the eyes of the public.

F him and the horse he rode in on.
