Man popping wheelies without pants dies in crash
by The Associated Press
FREDERICK, Md. (AP) - A half-naked man popping wheelies on a motorcycle was killed when he crashed into a tow truck, authorities said.
Shaun Matlock, 21, of Walkersville, Md., was wearing only a T-shirt, helmet and sneakers when he crashed Sunday while performing stunts on U.S. 340 in Frederick County. Witnesses said Matlock and other motorcyclists were being videotaped as they performed stunts on the highway.
Matlock wore a helmet with the logo "Holding It Big Productions." The company's Web site, www.holdingitbig.com, has links to videos of young men performing motorcycle stunts. The company did not return a call Tuesday seeking comment.
County State's Attorney Scott Rolle said his office was investigating. He said authorities obtained a videotape as part of their probe but it was blank. Rolle said investigators were looking into whether it had been erased.
About 30 of Matlock's relatives and friends gathered Monday evening along the westbound lanes of U.S. 340 near the crash site. Bottles of Coors Light, his favorite beer, as well as flowers, balloons and other items were laid at the scene.
Sad, he didn't get some common sense from one of his parents.
