My brother told us that he's been in some serious firefights in the last couple of months.  On Monday he lost one of his men.  The poor kid was only 22 years old and died in his arms.

I was also told that during the firefight their Afgan translator got on the enemies comm line and tried to give out their location!  The damn locals that they're helping can not be trusted!

This is my brothers first command and he's taking the loss pretty hard but he and his soldiers are more determined then ever to get the job done.

When you guys and girls have minute please say a quick prayer for all our soldiers who are in harms way...

Here's a link that to an article about fightining on Monday.  My brother could not say which area he and his men were operating in but the incident happened in one of the battles listed in this article.

Sorry to hear that, only 22 .  I hope your brother is doing ok.  Something like that can weigh heavily on a mind and soul.  Good luck to him and the rest of his group/squad.
