Very nice! Good find. I really like the Enfields...I should...I have...well... more than I should...heh, heh, heh. Very under rated rifles IMO. Damned shame all the Greek ammo dried up.

The Savage Enfields were made in the factory that at one time made M-91 Mosin-Nagant rifles for the Czar.  After WWI, the factory was owned by Stephens Gun and Cycle Works.  Savage bought the factory when it acquired Stephens.  

Nice rifle, BTW.

Yep, thats about the shape the one we got my dad ten years ago was in, only the finish 100% as it was never issued, just held in war reserve. You should see the looks he gets when he shows it to somebody with "U.S. Property" marked on it!
