Police: Man Shoots Self, Woman Dead in Mo.

ST. LOUIS (AP) - A man apparently shot his ex-girlfriend to death in the middle of a grocery store Friday before fatally shooting himself in the head, police said.

Police Capt. David Dorn said the shootings occurred at a small neighborhood store on the city's south side. The names of the victims, a 40-year-old woman and 39-year-old man, were not released.

Friends of the woman told KSDK-TV that she had been married earlier in the day. KSDK reported that she arrived at the store in a car with the words "Just Married" painted on the back window. A man in another car followed, entered the store, and shot her.

Police recovered a revolver and were not looking for any other suspects Friday night, Dorn said.

No one else was injured.
