I had a mishap a little while ago, and now my left trigger finger is a bit shorter and a bit weaker than my right

is there a simple way (for a non armorer type)  to shorten the trigger travel and at the same the lighten the pull?

are you talking a real class 3 m-16, or a semi auto ar-15?

FYI, while I was active, I found I had a greater ability to smoothly pull the trigger with my middle finger, it was stronger.  (Due to being an over active teenager with girls.... )

Might try that.

Good luck

a real m16,  well mostly, the first thing I did was put my own upper receiver and collapsable stock on it to make it a bit more manageable

I may have to start using my middle finger I guess
