For years I begged my friends not to buy their shit magazines - "oooh, but they're so cheap!"  It was a hard lesson for me to learn and I for one hope their business never returns.

BUT... as an aside, last night I was going through all of my AR mags trying to decide how many LE/Mil ones I should pick up now that they're going to cost $5 each used in a few weeks - and lo and behold - what do I find in my "good" AR mag collection?  Two USA 30 rounders and one 20 rounder!

I remember buying theses things over 12 years ago, and to be honest - they've never been a problem (and I've purposely boot stomped on more than one of their mags out on the range when they’ve failed).  There are a couple of ‘fluke’ USA mags out there – but they’re very rare.

USA mags are a waste of perfectly good sheetmetal.

Good riddance if they're gone.

My first 40 round AR15 mag I bought was a USA mag.
I bought it for $35 at Southern California Gun in San Diego.
It took me less than 20 minutes to figures out it was complete shit.

In fact it was the main reason why I went on line looking for stuff about AR15's and found AR15.com.

I took it back, they refused to return my money but told me I could exchange it for something else.
They had these two other steel 40 round mags next to it wrapped in paper and plastic for $40 (the reason why I passed on them in the first place was the extra $5.00) so I gave him back the USA mag and $5.00 and took the new one with me.

It was a Sterling.

As mandated by Arnie the lil' dictator, the people in Kalifornia must use them.

+1000

With the ban gone, they should be out of business shortly.
I have 2 40rd mags from them. They both work, one doesn't seat exactly right( won't catch bolt on last shot ). Then again, I didn't expect much for $10 bucks each. In fact, I'm surprised they worked at all.

I hope they were thrown away.  I've never found a USA mag to be reliable.  (AR-15 .223)

I've got a 10r that I bought in 1990 (when I bought my Mini 30) that has always worked 100%.

I bought a few 20r's from CDNN for the 30 and they actually were made pretty good (for crappy POS mags) and worked 100%. So I got 10 more.

These are the only ones I own.

yea, yea, yea, I know i got 2 POS 7.62 mags but I also have one that works without failure, and I have two 30rnd Glock and 2 18 rnd Glock mags from USA, and none of those have ever failed, jammed in any way. So i guess its a love hate relationship

USA magazines suck.  I wouldn't trust any magazine they make for anything.

It's probably better for you. 10 years later and they'll still suck ass.

Yeah that metal has been cheated out of its true calling as corrugated metal roofing over a mud hut in some third world shithole.
