Ok Guys,
I am comming into 2 large in a couple of weeks.
Should I spend on a ring for my lady?
Or pay some of my student loans off?
Or should I spend it on some more of my collection?
I have the following now
armlite CAR-15
SLR-95
10/22
S & W Model 10 38 spl.
92 FS
Mossy 590
Romainian .22 trainer
Bulgie Makie
FNFAL.COM kit and imbel reciever, not put together.

I still need a BETA-C for my collection.

Give me some Ideas,  I would love a .50 cal rifle for those pesky heliocopters.

Pay your friggin student loans off you dead beat!

Don't make it tough for all the hard working students who try to pay off their loans.

That's some real responsibility there pal, buy another AR and blow off your commitments, jackass.

pay off the bills [:(] it is best in the long run.  Nothing worse than paying off something you bought/used awhile ago.

BUT-you wont have that annoying bill hanging over ya forever either.

buy a beta, kick your ol' lady to the curb, find you a $5 crack whore, and use the rest to pay off your loan..

Seriously...take care of your debts first.

haha everyone.
2 large is $2000.
2 bills is $200.
I have been paying off my loans, but this cash will only kill off 1/5 of what I owe to the government. I rather but guns for my collection, or add-ons. '
also been thinking about a OKO site from Anti.  Even a tatical  rifle shooting class.
I guess education in rifles is something they can never take away from me.

C-rock,
Buy a Serbu .50 at only $1995.

Pay off your student loans???  Heck, those are at about 7%.  Just think of it as getting a .50 cal at 7% interest.

Remember, "I may have as many guns as I need, but I don't have as many guns as I want."

Instead of buying another weapon or something to spend more money on. *you buy a .50 you gonna want a new scope, mag and the bullets are damn spendy*
Buy something like that Beta C mag. Make whatever you have BETTER. Save enough take your lady out to dinner or some crap so she don't get all mad.
Use the rest to pay off some bills.

I'm a jeweler/stone wholesaler, so if you opt for the ring you can email me. Since you are an AR15.comer I'll give you 50% of of normal retail pricing. I'll even guarantee my craftsmanship for life.
I'd personally pay off at least some of the loan. With 2000 dollars, there's no reason you couldn't get 1000 dollars in new toys, plus a ring and still pay off at least 500 on the loan. For 100 bucks I can make you an awesome gemstone ring. For 500 my god she'd be feeling like the luckiest girl on the planet.
If it were me:
1000 toys
750 loan
250 TOPS ring

This way everyone is happy, especially you!!

If you were ready to buy the ring, you would be spending the money and maybe even selling some of your current collection.(damn I miss that Benelli)

The responsible thing to do would be to pay on the loan.  If I had known California was headed the way it was going, I would have spent more money adding to my collection and less money responsibly a few years ago.  Who can see the future.

Thanks everyone for their help.
The loans are $10K still between the two groups.   My debts are not that bad.  I only have major items like the car, and school for payment.  No credit card bills. I hate credit card bills. My FFL loves me, cause I always pay in cash.
I do want a new AR, but its going to be a pre-ban.   The Beta-C is for sure.  Sure using it can burn out your barrel, but you can always pick up a new one from your fallen ememies in front of ya. [;)]
The FAL is going to get done soon, when I can find the time to get it going.  Mags from DSA are on the list, but I will have to pay sales tax, since I live in Illinois. [:(]
No selling of the collection.  The way Illinois is going, I might not be able to replace it later on.
a 50 Cal is definate on the list.  What is the page for serbu?  Thanks.

If you pay off the student loan, you reduce your interest costs. Reducing interest costs is like money in the bank.

Money in the bank accumulates. Save it up an buy a .50 or whatever.

I've got 200 K coming in from a settlement. Looking for a house where I can shoot off the bench just outside the reloading room door. But the interest bearing obligations get disposed of first.

I'd vote for paying off the loans as well.

Think about this too - if your girl THINKS that you might be buying her a ring, and she finds out that you  blew 2 grand on guns, and didn't buy her any ring, you are going to be in a world of pain, and she will NEVER forget.

At least if you pay off the debt, she can't complain too much, because you're being responsible, and women love that.

I have not told her about the $$$ comming.  I know never to tell women there is $$$ lying around.   That is crazy.

Open a Roth IRA and invest it in a growth and income mutual fund.  It will be worth multiples of itself at retirement and you can take it out tax free and buy even more guns.

Pay off the loans, they gave you the money
when you needed it,not when they felt like it.
They might be a bank but it is still their money.

Not a flame,just a opinion.
