Found one article on CNN's website... didn't indicate any applause at all... very dry article. I'm guessing he got the cold shoulder.

I watched some of it (until nausea set in) There was very sparse applause for about 5 seconds, and then there was a flurry of intense (but not widespread) applause for a few seconds. It was very odd. It's as if Kerry had a bunch of staffers trying to drum up support. Just my humble observation.

Do you remember what issue got the flurry? Was it a Bush slam or was it a promise of more benefits?

Reminds me of when Jerry was in the comedy club and Kramer was the only one cheering him on. I wonder if Kerry had a bunch of people disguised as National Guard members, like he did with many of the people he protested against Vietnam with.
