The Romanian sidefolder is very nice (probably better than anything aftermarket too), and fits the standard rear trunion. Forget the AMD rear or underfolders as they will not use the standard trunion. Rear trunion = the piece of steel that the stock screwes into...
Be advised, that the sling mount on the Romanian will prevent the use of the optics rail, as you will not be able to slide anything on. Not a problem if you don't use optics, or if you are willing to put them on permanently. Frankly, folders are great for storage or making the rifle shorter, but kind of suck for shooting when compared to standard stocks. My favorite AK stock is the plastic East German stippled one. Folders are cool looking, but not cheek friendly. |
