I hate to rain on everyone's parade, but all this self congratulations and excitment on the AWB Ban Sunset is a bit premature.   Kerry/Edwards is still a serious threat, and a very real one, whether you want to see it or not.  Most gun people are only talking to the choir - each other.  We need to all push our comfort zones a bit and be active in our families, workplaces and social groups to stop Kerry.  If Bush supporters believe the media and back off now, with the REPORTED margins in some battleground states at 3-4%, we can still lose this thing.

Kerry and Co. have been very busy voter registering all the young, impressionable minds on every College (and High School 18yr olds) they can, sort of a "Get'em while they're still too  dumb to understand" Crusade, if you will.  And they are targeting what they see as "their kind of voters" - young women 18-33 who will buy the Anti-War argument to vote for Kerry.

And a lot of otherwise normal Bush voters will stay home and sit on their hands or not bother to vote due to moral ambiguity over the unfortunately but necessary unpleasantness in the Middle East - many just don't understand we never could avoid this fight with Radical Islam, and that Bush is right.  This is WAR, in caps, folks, and it must be won.

Unfortunately, It's 1939 again, evil is on the march once again, things look scary-  the "Let's just be Isolationists.  Hitler and Hirohito don't concern us, Margaret" mentality at work.  And this generation has a lot less on the ball than the "Greatest Generation" did.  Pearl Harbor this time could be a nuclear device in a major city.

Keep the Pressure On!  Talk to your family, particularly hunters, etc, about gun bans, gun companies being sued out of existance by a Kerry Attorney General, a Supreme Court with Schumer, Clinton(s), etc on it for life, etc.  George Soros will get his money's worth out of Kerry - One World, the Liberal/Socialist way, if we don't do our part to stop it.

I'll celebrate the end of the AWB when we've finally driven a stake through it's heart by putting these Liberal idiots out of power again.

Warmly, Col. Colt

I agree that we all need to vote en masse come novemeber.

But if you think Kerry has a chance in hell of winning in November than you are very sadly mistaken.  His campain is going down in flames quick.

I hope you are 100% correct, but the polls don't reflect anything like a Lock on this election for Bush.  Do you remember how close it was between Bush and Gore?  Do you think that any significant change in mindset has occured in the folks that voted Democrat (or Republican) since that election.  500 votes is a little too close for me to feel comfortable.  Most of the Democrats I encounter have their minds made up, Bush is evil, the war is wrong, the Swiftvets are liars, etc.  You aren't going to move them.

But, I do hope it turns out just as you see it!

Warmly, Col. Colt

KERRY LIED - While good men died.  And he's still lying.

Im with this completely.
I am as happy as anyone that the AWB is gone, and Im not one of these "the sky is falling" people that are chiming in on the "next" ban because there is no "next" ban, at least not at the moment. That being said, dont think for a moment that Kerry wont turn this country into a commune and ban every think that doesnt "look" like an over/under quail gun!

People need to reach out and explain why Kerry cannot be allowed to control this country.
Dont need to use the gun rationale either....there are plenty of other things to attack this fool about.

I have already convinced bleeding heart liberals not to vote for kerry, and guns never even came up. Just needed to point to how he diverts everyone from the issue long enough to change his mind and re-establish his position. We gotta keep reaching out to anyone on the fence...and if you cant convince a hippie to vote for Bush, at least talk them into Nader....or anyone else....because it still damages Kerry.

This thing is almost ours - no time to give up!
