People won't skip over your post if your not a team member, but I do think people might be more likely to read team member threads since once someone has a avatar (or whatever its called) they are easier to remember.

i rarely read all posts in a thread. there are certain members whose posts' i always read, and others i always skip over.

I check out a thread or read a post because it sounds interesting. It doesn't make any difference if you are a team member or not.
There are some team members whose posts I avoid.(because they are butt heads)

When somethin odd is posted by an "avatar guy" I will then look at the "non member's input" to see what led up to it... othewise I skip it, like I woulda skipped this thread, but too many "avatar guys" had replied.
