It's like re-living my puberty all over again. <sniff>
 Story here. BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. (AP) — Pop starlet Jessica Simpson has been cast as Daisy Duke in the big-screen version of The Dukes of Hazzard, and her husband is pretty excited about it. As a kid I never missed an episode of The Dukes of Hazzard, Nick Lachey told AP Radio. "We watched it every Friday night. It's going to be cool to live it all over again as she goes to do this movie." Lachey said Simpson really wanted the role and lobbied hard for the job. He's been doing some acting on the episodes of Charmed on the WB, and the couple is also filming another ABC Christmas variety show. "It's an exiting time in our house to be a thespian," he said. "Between the two of us we're doing some acting stuff now, between 'Charmed' and 'Dukes of Hazzard.' I did something for 'Bewitched.'" Seann William Scott and Johnny Knoxville were cast as Bo and Luke Duke. The show first aired from 1979 to 1985 on CBS, ranking No. 1 for its time slot during six seasons. While critics weren't thrilled with the show, fans loved to watch Bo and Luke outrun Sheriff Rosco P. Coltrane and his deputies by jumping their orange 1969 Dodge Charger the General Lee across creeks and off dirt ramps. They were the good guys, outwitting the corrupt Boss Hogg. A start date for filming has not been set. |

I got this from "Remakes of TV shows you used to watch that have been turned into politicaly correct pieces of shit" .com:
The story hasn't been finalized yet, but the series on which the film is based revolved around the good old Southern Duke boys, who kept getting in trouble with local Hazzard County bigwig Boss Hogg and Sheriff Roscoe P. Coltrane, riding all over town in their super-fast orange Dodge Charger, which had the doors welded shut and sported a Confederate Flag. For the remake the film once again revolves around good old Southern Duke boys, except this time around they are from Southern California. The show will be set in Orange County, in Huntington Beach, with the Orange County Sheriffs and California Highway Patrol involved in high-speed hi-jinks with the Duke boys. Bo Duke is a US Army vet who was kicked out of the for being gay, Luke Duke is the product of a broken marriage where is father was involved with the KKK and his mother was a person of color. Classic hot rod fans, no need to worry about the producers destroying another Dodge Charger, this time around it's going to be a hot-rodded Honda Accord painted in hot neon colors with a loud exhaust pipe and a killer sound system. The car will be named the "Col. Khadafi" and instead of sporting a Confederate flag will instead be wearing a combination of a UN and gay pride flag. In one sceene the Duke boys will mount motorcycles and go on to fight republican terrorists in a Matrix/The Fast and the Furious type of exciting chase sceene. Daisy Duke will be played by Jessica Simpson, this time around Daisy will be an Orange County John Kerry election staffer who has a drug problem and has a child from an unknown father.
