What spelling mistakes just generally piss you off for some reason when you see them, because they're so simple, or so common, or whatever? Besides your/you're, their/there/they're, lose(r)/loose(r), etc?

For me, it's "cavalry/Calvary." Calvary was the hill outside Jerusalem on which Jesus was crucified. Cavalry is mounted soldiers (horses, motorcycles, now just helicopters).

Not knowing the difference between 'advice' and 'advise'.

Incorrect use of the apostrophe, especially with plurals. As in, "I have a couple of gasket's..."

Constantly typing 'teh' yet being able to correctly type 'there' or 'their' in the same post.

I could go on...

I can't stand it when people write "would of" (or should/could) instead of "would have"

I guess it irritates me, because it's clearly not a typo - and shows a shocking ignorance of the english language. Perhaps it's because they HEAR the contraction "would've" and THINK people are saying "would of" - but it still makes little sense to me.

I often mis-spell things when I'm typing - like I always seem to type "jsut" instead of "just" and "woudl" instead of "would" and sometimes I'm just too lazy to go back and change it.

I haven't been annoyed so much by spelling errors. This is particularly true on the int4rw3b. :) One thing that I just shake my head at is words that don't exist such as "reoccur" and "irregardless." The correct words are "recur" and "regardless." Another item that catches my eye is when people do things "good" instead of "well."

Nuthin' I's be loosin' sleep over tho'.

Run-on sentences or no periods
Improper capitalization

But don't try to correct someone. You'll be labeled a spelling Nazi. Sometimes it is just best to leave it be.

"I could care less what he does."

That statement says that you DO care what the person does, indeed it implies that you care quite a bit.

My mom's a writer, and my sister's an English teacher. There is no room for spelling/grammar errors in this family apparently.

The one I hate is accept/except.

BTW, do you own any AR's with muzzle break's? If so, I bet your going to get teh best gunsmith you can to put Flash suppressor's on them. All gunsmith's are well at the trade, so I could care less who your going to get to fix them. Firstly your going to have to make sure their not put on lose, or they may come off when shooting. Take my advise on this one...
