I have Kimber and Springfield 45's. Looking to add a Colt, which model series seem to be the best? No special use just a shooter.
                                                            Thanks
Roy

My first handgun was a Colt 1991A1, after lots more handguns it's still my favorite. Never had a failure of any sort that wasn't my fault (as I said, it was my first handgun).

Given what you have, and what you want,

I'd suggest "The least expensive one you can find."

Get the new Colt series-70 repro ( www.colt.com/CMCI/Series70.asp ) They are very nice, old school, and a nice base gun if you want to do a custom.
Or, find a real Series-70... But, the quality on same is flakey, but I cannot remember the years.
