These guys are all reprogrammed and good-to-go. They've probably already applied for their US visas by now www.sabanews.net/view.php?scope=f9129&dr=&ir=&id=78041 TDC reeducates 107 al-Qaeda suspects, 176 Houthi supporters SANA'A,(Saba)- The Theological Dialogue Committee (TDC) announced Tuesday it has reeducated 107 al-Qaeda suspects and 176 supporters of rebel leader Hussein Badruddin al-Houhti who was killed last week.
"The results are positive, the young people reeducated in Sana'a, Taiz, Hodeidah, Hadramout, Beidha and Ibb have vowed to renounce violence, and respect the rights of non-Moslems," said the TDC Chairman Judge Hamoud al-Hitar in a statement.
"Dialogue will go on," he adds saying that the committee has finished a fourth session with the militants. The first session, for reeducation of al-Qaeda suspects, was in 2002.
The last three sessions reeducated 246 militants, 120 of which were reeducated in the second session. Al-Hitar, the cleric who pioneered Yemen's unique way of tackling extremism, says his method has resulted in more stability.
"Since the first session was held, no terror attack happened in the country, a reverse of expectations that Yemen would be a scene of spectacular terror bloodshed," he recalls in praising change of doctrinaires. AA/ SABA Resource: SABA
