Since I was old enough to carry a keyring, I've had at least one of these handy tools on me at all time that I'm dressed. I usually carry an extra to give to someone that is intrigued by it and i know will value it.

Anybody else keep one on them?

I could lift the tail of a Cessna 180 by myself but I could never carry a P38.

A few years ago there was a assault outside of a mexican restaurant with a P38 and the newspaper just referred to it as a "military style can opener"

The Leatherman has taken it's place over the last few years ... Got all the needs covered in there.

Carried on a long time ago. It would open up and cut either me or my pocket. I now carry a Pocket Leatherman tool in its place.

A P38, or a P3AT?

To answer your question: Ya, my keyring sports one. Finally had to tape the sucker closed – It liked to open at the most inopportune moments and rip my thigh wide open...

I have one attached to each key ring and also keep one in my wallet just in case I were to lose my keys.  Makes a great makeshift screwdriver when you don't have one.  Has hundreds of uses.  Oh and it is a pretty good can opener too.

I've carried a P38 since 1988.  Good topic!

I use it ALL the time.

That has been the BEST 27 cents I've EVER spent.

The prices today are outrageous!  I paid 52 cents for a replacement.

I don't have one but a co-worker has one on his key ring that the Marine Corps gave him in 1968. He shows it to me and tells me about it every time he takes his keys out of his pocket.
