I'd get there early to beat the lineup.
Yes sir, here's my 10/22 and my .38. |

No . . .
George W. Bush just re affirmed to US via television, that the right to bear arms is an individual right . . . From My Cold Dead Hands ~ |

Don't do it unless your gov't. promises that: it will coast AT LEAST A BILLION Dollars; will solve absolutely nothing; will make criminals out of otherwise law-abiding citizens (even those who fought for your country in the past) ; and all in all will be a big waste of time and energy.

I would honestly say yes, I would register them. After that I'd be praying REAL hard that they never come for them. I may even give them the bullets first.
Hey yours to... who would have ever thought. |
I would probably take this position. This IS one of the reasons why some people choose to make their own guns from 80%, 5%, or 0% blanks, right? Can build your own AR, an FAL, a 1911 and others, but if you have those 3, you're pretty well set. I have kits for my kids ready to build when they're old enough to work with machine tools. Everyone in the family should have their own self-built AR when we're through. It's quality home-schooling, IMO. Giltweasel Joe Devos |

Well, if it'll make y'all feel better. I'll go first. No wife. No kids. NO PROBLEMO |

That's like asking, "If the .gov took away your 1st Amendment rights, would you protest?"

Tragic boating accident.
There should be an animation for that... |
Ever see the movie Panic in the Year Zero ? Find it and you will see what I mean.

Hear, hear. |

With the '68 GCA, and other times, registration was specifically prohibited by Congress. Many at that time were WWII vets, and knew of registration used in Europe by the NAZI's to seize firearms in first Germany, then France, and especially Norway.
Look up and read about Quisling and Norway. To this day, "Quisling" is used to mean a traitor of the worst kind. Also, it is comforting to know that when Commiefornia instituted their AW ban and registration of semiautos, very few did. And this fiasco in Canada is a recursor to what has happened in Australia and England. If registration is forced on us, I would not be surprised to see a number of gun stores broken in to, or otherwise, and bound books, 4473's, etc, taken and burned. I would hope so. |

Wondering if the local militia has any openings if I had guns
Let the hunter become the hunded. They may just be following orders, but they can never "wash there hands of it".
It says the guns were sold to you some time ago. After that, you sold them all and pocketed the money. You can't remember who you sold them to. |
Anyone who says they would hide their guns is a PUSSY. What good are they hiden? You have become a criminal by CHOICE. I'd much rather be a freedom fighter. |
I don't remember who said it first on this board but I have to agree with him...I'm not going boating with any of you! Oh, and what guns?
They MAY see a copy of my receipt that says it is paid for and owned by me ......period . This ain't Canadastan ! ...................................
I have a sneaking suspicion that such a thing would never work.
It brings to mind something that I have been thinking about. The second amendment isnt just a right to bear arms.. its a national defense strategy. Some people think Iraq is bad.. just imagine what would happen to the foolish country who makes an attempted invasion of the United States. |

There I was in the boat with my trusty Labrador. Then came the ducks. For some reason I had every gun I owned in the boat. Don't know why, I just did. Next thing I know the labrador was getting excited and jumping up and own. I tried to calm her down and all of a sudden the boat capsized. Just my luck we were in the deepest lake in North America. Damn.

Actually I did see that movie. Pretty good example of what would happen. |

I think you'll find a third will register, a third will lie and five percent will fight.

I have heard that some people have back up "no papers" guns for all their important firearms.
Sadly, I have no guns at all. |
As easy as it is to beat up on most Canadians, here's a group that has literally told the Canadian Government. "Molon Labe!" These guys have drawn their line in the sand, and have the balls of our Founding Fathers.
www.cufoa.ca/accueilenglish.html I've already sent them a check. |
MN doesn't have a militia. Read your state constitution...

Guns? What guns? I hate guns. No one should have guns other than the police and the military. Im a peaceful person.
I feel like such a fraud. I've been saying that I own this gun and that gun. But in reality, the only 'gun' I ever owned was a starter's pistol. I lost it in a terrible boating accident.
If they want my single shot no name .22 ...... They are gonna have to give the $10 its worth !!!
I don't have any papered guns, period. No, I would not register my guns. Thats my line in the sand. I have no dependents. i would rather die on my feet than live on my knees. |

The 4473 form, according to an FFL friend, stays w/ the dealer. The forms can be destroyed AFTER 25 years. If the business closes before 25 years, the 4473's and the "bound books" go to the ATF. But if they stay open, all records that you bought XX guns are right there. Unless your state has a pistol registration form.... then it is w/ the state too. |
