Aimless my friend... you are WRONG! The Masons were NEVER anti-Catholic. The Catholic Church however is anti-Mason! It stems from the days of the Knights Templar and the Church's inquisition against them. The Catholic Church has a problem with the secrecy of the Masons and at one time excommunicated parishoners who were also in Lodges. The KoC was created in large part to bring these men back into the fold by offering them a Masonic like experience that was acceptable to the Church.
I have no problem with the KoC... the Elks, the Lios, the Knights of Pithias or any other order.... And I don't mean any offense in saying this, but they are all patterned on the Masons, but none have the historical substance that the Masons have. I do believe they are all very good organizations that the world needs more men to participate in. If the Masons are not for you, look into one of the other groups. Most of the people here seem to have the character that these organizations are seeking.
But let there be no confusion... the Masons have never been against any faith or religion that believes in a higher benevolent power.
