I just watched it, and it sickened me. And Lou Dobbs' ignorance was astounding. He seems to think that a semi-auto shotgun (like an 11-87) is an unsporting firearm. Fucking moron.
 Whenever Larry Craig would speak, they would show all the scary guns. At least he got his word in about the "30rds in 3sec is full auto and has been illegal since 1934". Yes, its not illegal but merely highly regulated. Its not like some blissninny who likes the Communist News Network and thinks that Feinstine is god would know the difference.  I am going to go watch Resident Evil 2 now.

The good thing was that she really looked dejected and defeated. The bad thing is that she vowed to come back in the next session (after the elections or new year) and get another bill passed.

The Democrats need 85-90% election success to gain control of congress. Impossible? No. Ever been done before? Not even close. Without Democrats in the leadership positions, then it's doubtful that it would make it past committee, as long as we keep working on our side. These antigunners are patient....very, very patient. This year, next year, 12 years from now, they're waiting to strike. Freedom isn't free.

She vowed to come back after the summer recess and get the old one extended too. It is no time to quit fighting, but it is nice to know that we may actually be starting to get some traction, and not still sliding backwards. |

Dobb's kept saying the ban will end at midnight tonight. Feinstein actually corrected him and said it expired this morning.
The woman kept using phrases to evoke fear in the audience. Craig reitertated the fact that preban semiauto assault weapons were no more powerful than legal sporting semiauto's, but while he was saying that, CNN was playing a tape of cinder blocks being shot with an AR. On an earlier show, they played an interview with the owner of Armalite. There was a good scene of him showing the "evil" cosmetic features that constitute an assault weapon under the ban: flash hider, bayo lug, pistol grip and collapsing stock. Looked pretty innocuous except that when he was pointing out the flash suppressor, he said something like "This is where a grenade launcher could be mounted". For chrissake, grenade launchers and their ammo are restricted! |

I heard a Kerry clip from today where he was campaigning. He bashed Bush about the AWB. He said all of America's cops want the ban, and that they do not want to STARE DOWN THE BARREL OF A MACHINE GUN.
This guy is a blatant liar. 1. He is a [choke]WAR HERO[/choke] who should know the difference between a semi and full auto weapon. 2. Voted for the AWB and should know it had nothing to do with MGs. I sure hope someone out there in tv/radio land calls him a LIAR and a DEMAGOGUE about the AWB. |

How about all the f'n POLICE CHIEFS who keep saying that now machine guns will be back on the streets? JEEZE, these guys are too damn stupid to be CLEO's. They need to be removed from office and replaced with cops that have common sense. How do these asses get into their positions? And Kerry picked up endorsement of all the the usual a$$hole bunch of cop organizations... FOP, etc. LEO's on this board... it is hard to have any respect when you have these guys representing you. Yes, they represent you. They are the ones on TV lined up behind the anti-gun politicians like they were today, lined up behind Kerry and applauding. |
