"Thank you for your inquiry.  We do not have immediate plans to offer a larger round capacity magazines for the Model 597 at this time."

Disappointing.

Getting higher-cap mags for all my firearms (well, not my 1911) is priority number one this week.  Any word on whether any third-party mag makers will step up to the plate?

I have both.

Is Ruger planning to resume higher-cap mag sales to the public?  Wouldn't that be a big policy shift for them?  Or are you referring to third-party makers?
