Most of you out there probably hate the AWB, because you remember a day when it took away from you rights that you excercised for most, if not all of your lives. I can't relate. I didn't grow up shooting or hunting. In fact I only fired a gun one time before I was 18.
For me, the catalyst that started me on the road to gun collector/enthusiast was the enactment of the 1994 AWB. I remeber 10 years ago when I found out they were restricting our second amendment rights, and feeling like if I was ever going to own a gun, I'd better get one before the restrictions worsened. So, at the age of 18 I went to a gun show and bought my very first firearm. It was a Norinco SKS (still have it). I have bought several guns since, but all have been under the clou of the AWB.
Now, in about 5 minutes I will be able to excercise my Second Amendment rights with an additional level of freedom that was never available to me before. That is why the sunset is so meaningful for me.
Just thought I'd throw that out there.
