Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Best .308 semi-auto to suppress?

I was considering getting an AR-10 lower and matching it with a .338 Whisper upper and suppressing it.  Any other suggestions?

You might want to try a .300 whisper.  There are lots of .30 cans out there but I don't remember seeing any  .338 cans.  I am sure you could find someone to make one for you but one of the more common .30 cans  would probably be cheaper.

I had a supressed M1A.  Very quite & if you want to load super quiet that don't have enough force to eject, the charge handle is very convienent to cycle.
