Where is the I'm not cool enough to drive either one, but my small penis qualifies me to drive one of these button?
WTF kind of question is that?
Which do you prefer,a blunt object to the head, or a BJ? |
I love american cars, but the Supra is one of the highest performing cars ever sold to the public. The stock block/internals can be pushed way past 600rwhp. The possibilties are endless. Plus, its built like a swiss watch, which is more than can be said about ANYTHING from GM.
I would take a supra any day. Put another $12,000 into it and bam your looking at 1100hp daily driver
Supra all the way! 900HP on stock internals, OH YEAH BAYBE! Strap on a fatty single turbo, intercooler upgrade, boost controller, intake, exhaust, computer chip, injectors and hold the FUCK on to your seat. Youll ass rape Vetts like nothing!
American V8 muscle car vs. some Jap crap? This is a no brainer. Corvette, no questions asked!
That is funny. A stock 93' supra would beat it. |
Having owned both a bi-turbo Supra(1994) and a C5(1999) Corvette I have to say the corvette is the superior car. Within 20 months of owning the Supra, the Turbos went out, then I had to rebuild the intercooler. (At the time of purchase the car was stock.
I may be biased but as a rule of thumb I would take a naturally aspirated higher displacement engine over any smaller block with forced induction. Just my $0.02 |
Since I dont like Vettes, Supra it is.... But then agian, the Supra is just bad as and will rip the Vette a new one.
Ahmen. Check the screen name here! I own three Corvettes. An 84 (my driver, heavily modified), and a pair of Stingrays (69 and 71). The Supras are nice, but owning a Corvette is like being part of a club. You can walk right up to another Corvette owner and talk cars just like you've known that person all your life. |
too many Jap crap lovers roaming around and not enough American muscle heads anymore.
add: yall supra weiners must love The Fast and the Furious. |
Depends. Is it a twin-turbo Supra?

My thoughts exactly!!! |
Easy, Vette. The Supra is probably the most overrated Jap car ever put into production. A Dyno Queen.
What do a 400 Hp and 800 HP Supra have in common? A 13 second quarter. |
well, in all fairness, we are comparing apples to oranges. The Supra was WAY ahead of its time in styling and performance. It is essentially a 12 year old design, that the americans have just about took the better part of ten years to surpass/
04' mitsubishi lancer evo, 04' subaru wrx sti........all you need to do is increase boost, better breathing system and you've got a fast, agile car that can out run most any other cars in it's class (even the zo6/supra) especially on narrow wavy roads.
This vid is neither a supra or a zo6. However it will smoke both of them, with an auto
10 second truck |
If the Supra was tasefully done (without the lip and spoiler the pic has) then it would be a decision. But as it is , Z06.
I'm going to enjoy this... An air-to-air intercooler has no moving parts, can't be worn out, and is subject to no stress other than slight thermal expansion. So my question to you is, how do you rebuild an intercooler? Do you even know what an intercooler is? It's like a radiator core, but with no fluid passing through it... just hot compressed air. How does something like that get "rebuilt"? |
Really? What trim Thupra and which model Saleen? ETA, that a bad asses truck and I don't even liek chevies. How much did that thing cost? |
why don't you guys just go ahead and whip it out,
none of these thinly veiled metaphors anymore. |
If i were to choose a supra i'd go with one of these www.suprastore.com/suprasforsale.html
Definately the Toyota Supra. I've never been a big fan of Corvettes or GM vehicles in general. I love its styling and the stock spoiler it comes with. I'm sure you'll get much better reliability out of the Supra too. Mark my words, I will own one one day. It's not to look cool or to be apart of some stupid club (imaginary or real), nor do I want one to compensate for any inadequacies or because I'm a fag like AR50troll says.
i mod-ed my 2001 z-28 out enough that i finally was running low 11's. in a $22k car. but the whole time i was thinking " gotta catch a vette, gotta catch a vette".... till finally i was wishing i had one. yeah, i caught plenty of them, but at over 500 hp, and abuseing the shit out of mine all the time....13 months and 53k miles later i sold it. the drivetrain held together, but the body panels were not lining up any more. but i think that says alot for GM's LS-1 motor, and the way they're put togther.
vette all the way. |
Serously,those Supra's are gawd-awfull looking...Killer wing though
The Corvette,on the other hand,is an American icon. There's not even a choice involved here IMO. |
I must say, I am very surprised at how many would take the supra over a friggin' Z06,,,,,,WTF????
+1 for Vette. |
ive been racing the supra professionaly since 1996, we have a total of 11 world records with the car, check out our web site "www.twinsturbo.com"
if you need any help w/ the supra hit me up...its the least i can do to give back to the ar15 people if you talk to anyone who knows anything about supras or import dragracing they know who we are, and were neighbors here on ar15... p.s. i dont loiter on any of the supra net boards. lots of bad info and MASSIVE egos abound, we build and race cars, not talk shit on the net, and they hate us for it.. |
I'd go with the supra. I have seen guys around here with 500-650whp out of a twin turbo setup. I also caught something on Spike with these guys building up a Supra that should dyno around 1000hp to the wheels. There is just mad potential for the Supra.
Vette's are OK, but it seems they are much more common than the Supra. I don't much mind going F/I on a powerful car like that, cuz heck, you're gonna take it in the wallet feeding it anyway. Might as well enjoy the whistle of the turbos or the whine of a supercharger... mmm... supercharger.... I may have to get one of those for my Sexy Bitch next year.... |
and dont let the "vett's made in the usa "croud fool you, anything that makes a supra fast was pioneered and is made in the USA !.
we took what is the best j apanese car platform on the planet ,and put a whole lot of american know how and attitude into it and we do what the conservative japanese can not, make all our own stuff here and shatter world records in a purely American way |
im one of those guys on "spike TV" and that supra is my brothers.. ..bastard www.twinsturbo.com |
If you're gonna keep it stock or close to stock, then the Z06 wins hands down. You can run 11s in a stock Z06. Plus, it outhandles the Supra by a country mile.
If you're gonna mod it up, then the MKIV Supra takes the prize. You can make insane power with the 2JZ-GTE engine for not too much $$$. Unfortunately, Supras are way overpriced nowadays...I don't wanna pay $30-40K for a TEN YEAR OLD CAR... Personally, I'd take the Z06...make mine Electron Blue... |
If your a shopper you can find a nice shaped supra tt for about $21000 with 60k. |
Are you married or single?
Slap a few stickers and some neon on the Supra, and pick up loads of Asian hotties. Get the Vette, and take your pick of stippers and trailer park queens. |
Neon lights, Stickers. Thats something you do too a cheap ass crx. |
You gotta link??? |
"Vettes are for senior citizens or homo's...I'll take a Supra.
Not on me I would check ebay,cars.com autotrade etc. Youll find one if you look hard for a few weeks. And when you do find one jump on it if you want it or else it will be gone. Also alot of $16000 non turbos sell on ebay. Put a turbo in it youll go fast enough and it will cost about $7,000 to get it running pretty sick. |
True, but the chix are too stupid to know better. You need a fart can and some bling to get their attention. |
Supra looks like a ricermobile from 'Fast & the Furious'... With that huge non-functional wing on the back & big nose, you might even get some 'Nice Civic Bodykit' comments...
Corvette looks like a sportscar should... 405HP RWD WITHOUT Forced Induction... Yeah, you can get a Supra to 600HP. Put twin-turbos on a Vette & you can get 700 (Ligenfelter)... And an engine you can easily handle most repair work on yourself, and parts are commonly available & inexpensive, as the design has been around forever... As for quality, the LS-6 will easily outlast that Supra. They may suck with 4-cyls but GM V8s are the most bulletproof engines made today... GET A VETTE.... |
A Big Plus 1 |
