When I saw the topic title, I immediately thought it would be a Memorial to carve in stone the lying statements of public Figures who falsely claim or exaggerate their military service, a la the ancient olympic statues memorializing and embarassing cheaters. Thought it would be a GREAT idea. A 'Stolen Valor' Wall.
People like Max Cleland who bobbled his own grenade while on a beer run and let people believe he was mid-combat when it happened.
People like Senator Harkin, who recently called Cheney a "coward" - Harkin that told everyone for decades he was a combat pilot, serving in Vietnam, whose Truth is that he was a ferry pilot, based in Japan, shuttling aircraft for depot-level repairs, and isn't even entitled to the Vietnam Service Ribbon.
People like John F'in Kerry, with his false Purple Hearts, his Silver Star
with bogus 'V' for Valor.
To read the topic is actually about liberals / socialists / pacifists honoring cowards is no surprise. It's a damned shame our military doesn't care to retrieve disserters. We know where these assclowns are. They are getting treated like celebrities, conducting interviews - send a small squad of Leavenworth MPs up there AND GRAB THEM.
And some day in my dotage, I'll have to take my RV on a northern tier tour, and yank down these statues. This one honoring the disserters, and
the statue of Lenin proudly displayed in the Fremont district of Seattle
