I read in a magazine that a 9mm hi-cap will work in some guns that are chambered for .40S&W because the dimension for the round are very close, anyone do this?

never heard of anything except for the Springfield XDs, and it was 10rnd .40S&W mags holding something like 13 9mm rounds, and it all fed. never tried it

I think its the other way around, the XD40 mags will feed 9mm I have heard so, I dont have a 9mm barrel for mine yet.

i've heard of people trying things like this. they usually ended up bending the lips to make it feed properly

Beretta mags are interchangable,  I have a 96 .40 cal and a 92 9mm and the mags are interchangable.  I have had no malfunctions.  All my mags are factory Berreta Im not sure about aftermarket.

Yes with the Springfield XD you can you .40 S&W mags in the 9mm, about 13 in a 10 round mag. I have heard that you can also do this with Ruger Camp carbines... but I have never done it.

This does NOT work, either way, with a browning HP.

Note to self....don't bring one of each caliber to the range at the same time.....

Supposedly this works in Springfields, Berettas and Rugers.

9mm in a 40 mag.

If you live Kalifornia and Hawaii this is a way to get cheap regular caps for 9mm.

Let me ask ya'll this question. Now that the ban is over and standard caps will be made available for sale again what is stopping someone from taking a case of "no ban" Glock mags into a State with a ban in place?  It seems to me that the "no ban" mags won't have any special marking on them so you'll not be able to tell them from a "pre ban" mag so really who in hell would know the difference.  Just some food for thought.
