Which AR15 BBL manufacturer makes the most accurate barrel?

Also, and experience with the JP Enterprises brake?
DPMS 24" Stainless Fluted Bull uppers?

Who ever it is, they have to offer a 24"-26" Stainless HBAR-
I don't know whjat twist I want for 200+ yard accuracy, so please tell me.
Also, what Gr. bullet's are best for tapping out to 200+?

WOW, I didn't think you even owned an AR from all of your post here.

Anyway, I hear Kreiger makes excellecnt barrels, but expecct to pay high,high dolaaars for them.

I have an ASA built 20" Wilson Bull Barrel with stock trigger.. It is not even the best built bullbarrel around, but with handloads and a good scope I have consistenly put 5 rnds in 1/2".  My best was five all touching, within the size of a penny at 100 Yards., at 300yrds I have put 10 in 3 " moa.

My point is that the hand loads made as big a difference as the barrel did.

What were you loading?
BBL Twist?
Bullet grain?
What kind of powder?
How much?

(FTR- I own an Oly and a Bushy, with a CavArms lower in the mail- I am picking out a new upper for it, and want a distance gun)

Barrel twist is 1 in 8
The best load I have found is this:
26.6 gr. of H3335 powder (BLC-2 is also great)
Seirra 52gr HPBT Match bullets
Mag rilfe primers (important!!)

Cases get trimmed to 1.75 lenght, with the bullet seated to an OAL of 2.45.   Since H335 and BLC-2 are "ball" powders, the mag rifle powders give a much faster burning rate the regular primers, this makes a big difference.  I use various types of brass, but find something your gun likes. Also I reccomend that you start out 5-10% low with this load and work up, checking for signs of high pressure since this is a maximum load charge.

I paid only $350 for the upper w/out the carrier.  Best deall I ever made IMHO.

I get good 200 yard accuracy out of an Armalite 1:8" twist 24" upper with Nosler 55 Ballistic Tips and 24.8 grains of H335; I get 1/2 " at 100 yards and good enough accuracy to take groundhogs from a sitting position at 200 yards if I haven't had too much coffee.

Obscenely enough, the DPMS chromed barrel on my HBAR shoots as well, so I doubt you can go too wrong with a good barrel if you can buy or build the right fodder to feed it.  

I have a copy of Glen Zediker's book "the Competitive AR15". In it he states that one of the more popular, production barrels is the Colt 1/7 HBAR.

That fast of twist won't be favorable to the light weight varmint bullets, but if service rifle competitors like this barrel, it can't be too bad a unit. I think one reason they like it is it already comes with a throat cut deep enough for the long, heavy bullets (75-80 gr.)

This may or maynot fit your plans, but I thought I would throw it at you just the same. It's hard to have too many options.

Overall how do you like the armalite? I want to get a top end for my bushmaster lower. I was thinking of the m15a4t ( I think thats the number). It is a flat top 24 or 26 inch bbl. Free float handguard. Is this what you have. What lower is with your armalite upper. I just got the trigger done by frank white and now I am looking for an upper.

I have a colt match target 6601 and I have a 1/7 bbl. I have had great groups from this rifle. I use black hills 75gr match or hornandy 75 gr match. At 200 yards with scope my best was 1.5 inch. With Iron sights my best was 2.5 inches at 200 yards. I like the 1/7.
