Is your chopper a special construction (i.e. home-built) or a factory built one?  Choppers that are special construction generally are difficult and expensive to insure.

One company that is good for insuring motorcycles is Daryland Insurance, but it pays to shop around.  Find an independent insurance agent that deals with multiple companies.

Try getting a quote from Progressive 1-800-776-4737. I just checked into it about a month ago and they wanted about $150 monthly or $1800 a year. That was full coverage for a new $30-33k chopper and I have a clean record and 14 years riding with no accidents. If your going to play with high dollar bikes or fast bikes expect to pay more in insurance than what the bike is worth. That's why I have never insured a bike. But in my state we don't have to have insurance. So I think I'll wait to pay cash for the Chopper and in the mean time I'm thinking about getting a $2k Vmax. I just sold a tricked out 200+MPH Hayabusa. I'm just getting to old for crotch rockets. Good Luck.
