Yeah - that was BS - but interestingly, in Koppel's introduction, he CLEARLY understood how the AWB works. He understood the ban as revolving around numbers of "evil features" he specifically mentioned "semi-automatic" and he mentioned how the ban didn't suceed in banning MOST of the rifles.

The story still seems slanted - but he doesn't seem as full of shit and uninformed as most stories I've seen.

Also, he said in the last 10 years 50 popos were killed by "assault weapons" and that this law makes a difference to the families of those killed.
