They offer a Bourne Identity DVD package with sniper rifle. Kinda cool.

Holy shit!  $700 for an M24 with glass and everything!  Where can I get one?

I think it's likely an airsoft gun.  The M24 is a popular airsoft gun made by several companies in Japan, Korea and China.

I can't find anymore sources to back it up.

I wish!!!  The line of ARFCOM members wanting one for that price would be extensive!

Does this ad lose a bit of the punch since the 'sniper weapon' used in Bourne Identity was a AK derivative Galil type and the sniper rifle used in Bourne Supremacy was a Walther 2000? Neither of them is even close to the M24 package they are advertising.

Maybe the fact that there were weapons with scopes being fired by different characters qualifies enough.

I believe that's called 'Dramatic License'.

The Bourn Identity had a SIG Sniper 550 if I remember correctly (I don't really know the SIG models that well).

can we get authentic m24 rifles and scopes here, yet?

You mean an original Remington M24?
Getting an original M24 shouldn't be a problem, as long as you have the cash.
The complete system (case, scope etc) costs somewhere between $6-8k! Can't remember exactly.

If you talk to gunsmiths like George Gardner, they can build you a clone which is just as good (or better) for MUCH less cash.......
