This has be hashed and rehashed to death.  NY's ban is the federal ban with no sunset clause.  I work for the Governor... I fought this tooth and nail but I lost.  I have had my personal lawyer review it... he is counsel to several gun clubs and the state's former #2 in the IG's office.  He knows this law inside and out.  I also work at a gunshop frequented by half the cops in upstate NY.  We have the state police academy five miles away and a liberal DA... No mention has ever been made by the liberal DA, the liberal Attorney General, the liberal county legislature where the shop is located... Nothing.  If it is legal today under the AWB nationwide, its legal in NY.
