The question says it all. I'm having another no holds barred with a liberal about "assualt weapons". I've told him I don't need a reason. I have a RIGHT to own one and thats all that needs to be said. So brothers & sisters of ARFCOM...... why do you?

The kind of people you are arguing with like to compare gun ownership to car ownership. These are the easiest to defeat in a debate. Why do they need a minivan, SUV that will carry seven people when they only have four in their family. If they want to carry more they can make multiple trips. this kills the "high capacity " magazine argument.

Why do they need a vehicle that will go 100+ mph when the speed limit in most areas of the country is 70 mph? This kill the semi-auto argument.

Wht don't you have to register guns like cars? Cars driven on PRIVATE PROPERTY don't need to be registered.

How old do you have to be to buy a car? There is not a minimum age as far as I know to buy a car.

Why don't you have to liscense all gun owners like car owners? Cars driven on private property don't have to have a liscensed driver.

I'm sure there are more comparisons that our fellow board members can add.

I love shooting mine (it's fun), it reminds me of my younger days (pre-military and military; I had a Mini-14 first and then an AR BEFORE basic, registered in my mom's name of course), plus I like to educate numbskulls like your buddy that these rifles aren't what the liberal media has made the sheeple think they are. Invite him shooting with you. It's worth 50-100 rounds.

BTW - WTH is an "EBR"?????
