I'm going to register a domain name so I can have an email address that survives across isp/email provider changes.

Any good ideas?

I need something that would be ok to put on a resume.

I checked my last name, but some douche bag in germany has it already.

get your full name <FIRSTNAME><LASTNAME>.com or <FAMILYNAME>.com , I bought both for my name and family name .... EASY for people to remember to! they dont have to write it down.

God damn cyber squating germans! Your best bet would be to do a variation of your name - since every concievable word has been grabbed up.

ie - john smith - smithonline.com , smithweb.com smithspace -

Hopefully, you have an abstract slovak name, kovotchkovichsky.com is probably available....

Actually, I registered a domain name when I was considering starting my own firm. I just took my last name and added "Tech.com" to it, like "dzlbenztech.com".

I checked just my last name before I got my fullname .... some dude in England had it, the site was nothing but x-ray pics of things people had gotten stuck up thier ass .... LOL
