[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Can anyone tell me what this rifle is worth?

I have a Remington 700, late 70s early 80s vintage. Don't know the model number. Chambered in .222, 24" barrel, no fixed sights, jeweled bolt.

I want to get rid of it, but have no idea what a reasonable asking price is, and I don't want to get taken (or start asking for a ridiculous amount).

350-400 sounds about right to me.

guntracker lists bluebook at 350.00 for 98% 275 for 95% for adl

Rare can be good or bad. If it's rare it's because not many people wanted one. But if it's rare it's because someone wanted one real bad. You need to find the second catagory of individual.
