Kerry Campaign Silent on Terorist Russian School Disaster

Saturday, September 04, 2004

ChronWatch Editor:
On a day filled with the horror of terrorism in Russia and the nation reminded of the possibility of terrorism in America, Presidential Candidate John Kerry has failed to address the subject.  The Kerry campaign has released no statements condemning the terrorist acts in Russia as so many others throughout the world have done, nor have any recent speeches confronted the issue of terrorism.

The horror of innocents held captive, where weak and fleeing children are shot in the back by Islamic terrorists while the world watches, has not caught his attention.  The malicious slaughter of 250 people without hesitation was not enough for Mr. Kerry to notice.  The fact that 10 of the terrorists were Arab and the suicide bombers were trained by Al-Quaeda was not worthy of mention.

Kerry has not sent his condolences to the Russian people either as a presidential candidate, or as a United States senator.

In an midnight speech on Friday morning on the heals of the president's acceptance of the Republican nomination, Kerry failed to bring up the topic of terrorism.  There was also no mention of what he would do to defend the United States.  Neither the words ''terror,'' ''terrorism,'' nor ''security'' were present in the speech.

President Bush has personally called President Putin to express his support and condolences.  From the campaign trail in Wisconsin the president declared the hostage crisis ''another grim reminder'' of what terrorists will do.  Scott McClellan says the president believes the slaughter to be ''despicable,'' and that America stands side-by-side with Russia.

''We grieve with Russia on this tragic day--[t]he blame for this lies squarely with the terrorists,'' said State Department spokesman Richard Boucher on Friday morning.

I am sure he will use it as an example of how President Bush's plan against terrorisim is not "working" in his lame ass spin of things.

Yup, if he does comment on it, it will be in the form of spin saying things like this happen because Bush isn't fighting a sensitive war or similar such nonesense.

I think he hasn't addressed it at the advice of his campaign.  Simply because the votes they are seeking, and even some that they have locked up, dont want to hear his negative bullshit.  Has he said one nice thing about Bush

How can he respond?

If you read the translation of Putin's speech, Russia will quickly be making its own 'War On Terror' and somehow I think they'll do what they think needs to be done and to hell with what the eurotrash* countries think of them.

eurotrash is defined here to mean countries that give in to terrorists.  Namely france.

"I felt sad for the people of Russia.... before I felt glad for the terrorists"

Kerry will read the polls, listen to what Kofi Annan, Jacques Chirac and Gerhard Schroeder has to say and then "harmonize" his thoughts so as to be in tune with the "leaders of the world community".  He'll then issue a statement making sure that he casts no aspersions on the followers of the Religion of Peace so as not to disenfrachise them from the same "world community" that he has such respect and admiration for.

OK, that depletes my sarcasm quota for the week.

Kerry is a 60's socialist

He's never met a separatist movement he didn't like....

This man supported the goddamn VC & NVA who were killing his one-time comrades in arms...

Also, like most liberals and most conservatives, he is not fixated on Islam. He would not consider it a religeous issue any more than Clinton considered religeon in his former-Yugoslavian operations... (This, ignoring religeon, is the only 'correct' part of his entire response)

As president, he would condemn the brutality of the attack, but then urge a UN peacekeeping force be sent to Chechnya to prevent further violence by either side.... He would then proceed to diplomatically strongarm Russia into accepting international 'peacekeepers'

20,000 peacekeepers, most of them US troops, would become sitting ducks wedged in another civil war that is of no strategic or tactical importance to the US in winning the WOT.

Think Yugoslavia, but one side has bigger guns, and the other side is a bunch of unrepentant sepratist terrorists...

Fun fun... NOT!

I try not to listen to anything he has to say....but I am just curious, has he said anything about the Russian attacks yet? Does anybody know?
