Being I live right down the street from the Pork CAPITAL of the world Smithfield, Virginia

I though my first dinner pic should be a local FAVORITE.

u-Baddog dry rub day before
u-Baddog Marinate injected 12 hours before
Slow cooked pork roast on the pit. As long as it takes
CitrusRum/ glaze applied 40 minutes before internal temp reaches 152 deg.

Knifes = Henckels mmmmmmmm ouch

Pistol = 1911 STI Edge from David Dawson IPSC limited  gun.

Measure device = Craftman steel tape that has been with me 20 years.

Stapler = Unknown

I havent included the side dishes because they are just that, side dishes.

The wife just came in and looked over my shoulder.

"Is that our house ?"    She asked as she looked at the monitor .

"That dinner " I said.

"Is that on the web ?"   she asked ?

" I put it up on the AR site  "  I said

She said " Thats just too weird with the stapler stuff, Why all that crap ?"

So I listed her off the things needed for a proper dinner pic.  She walked away shaking her head. " I love you but that pretty weird " she muttered.

I had to agree

Its part of a marinade injector.  It's how the flavored u-baddog mix gets INTO the meat.
Dry rub outside
Injection inside
Happy all the way around

That is one fine lookin piece o' dead animal.

A+

Lost points are counterbalanced by having such a fine pistol and fine meat.

Lost points ??????????????????

No ! What could I have left out ? Extra mag ? NO. If you cant hit it with 21 in the gun then just give up.

The fresh corn, colesaw were side dishes so they are just garnish.  = No points

I disagree. It would have looked better sliced and on a plate with the sides.
Silverware and a plate would have been a nice touch, too!
And where's the beer ? Still, pork done right deserves at least a 7 all by itself

I don't know exactly...we were near the mouth of the James and a "mothball fleet" of ships parked. There was a barge there and nice old lady lived alone in it, there was also a two story house on the bank. There was a couple other buildings off shore with ramps. Friend that owns Land Fill in Driver used to own it. It was before Smithfield, hell...I was lost anyways.

Yummy!

Now...some great slaw & baked beans, some garlic bread and a tall cold brewski...what a great meal!

Lovely looking piece of charred flesh you have there.

Good job!

Why are you cooking with a race gun?  Do you use your STI for home protection as well?  Shit their so damn expensive that might not be a bad idea.  Sweet gun...and TEXAS made

The jelly jar glass in the pic is my choice of glasswear when I am grilling. I have broken a number of proper wine glasses before I wised up and went with a low center of gravity type glass. Today it was Merlot.

I agree the presentation wasnt done as well as it should have. To be blunt I was hungry and in a hurry. You were correct when I plated the food it would have made a much better pic than just the roast .  I therefore will accept a 2 point deduction

That is a simple fix....

Take her and treat her just like that meat,

1. Take off all of the extra wrapping....

2. Start with a nice dry rub to the outside...

3. about 45 min later follow up with the injection for the inside...

4. Enjoy!

And dont forget to post pic's!

I agree the meat and pistol looks great.....but,

you do need a tactical folder,
a napkin and
spare mags.

I give it an 8 of 10 because of the quality looking meat and very nice .45 acp.
you do lose points for the missing items.

We really need to see the inside of the meat.
