I'm a UK man but a big football fan anyway (though my team usually sucks). I saw the game. It was indeed a good one. I do bet that poor OSU kicker feels like shit though.
BTW, I bet you won't be able to talk for a week after that game! Those are the kind that make you scream your head off. Either way, the environment is awesome. I love college football. Congrats on the win. |

I almost went there, decided to goto USM (University of Southern Miss).
Might go back to LSU to finish my degree, either there or Mississippi State. |

LSU graduate in 1975; and from LSU LAw School in 1978!

JosieWales, I don't think it became the F. Edward Hebert Law School until my Senior year, or so.
It will always be LSU Law School to me! I love Loyola and Tulane, as well. I was the Official Tour Guide of the French Quarter for the Law School! Took many a student and tourist through the Quarter....some of them New Orleans natives who had never been there, if you can imagine that! So what years were you in N'awlins? Eric The(Creole)Hun

You know, I been thinking that I gotta get a scholarship and go to either Tulane or LSU. Parents are Tulane Alumni. Have a couple cousins who are LSU alumni. Plus, c'mon, how could I not spend at LEAST four years of my life within driving distance of the French Quarter.
Hey, any of you ever been to either The Chimes on Chimes St., or to a little coffee shop with great beignets called Coffee Call? Some of the best places I've ever been. And then there's this little diner real close to The Chimes, great burgers, great eggs. And in New Orleans, The Camelia Grill on South Carrolton and the Café Du Monde in the Quarter. |

Yes, indeed, living within driving distance of the French Quarter is fine. There are other areas of N'awlins that are fine, as well, and you can get burnt out on the Quarter if you don't handle it right.
Yes, to both! Cafe au lait and beignets are found all over South Louisiana and some places have 'em as good as the Cafe du Mond at Jackson Square.
Good eats and fine drink is what Louisiana is all about!
I'm not certain which one you're talking about, but if it's near LSU, it's got to be good! Louisiana folks ain't going to be eating anything but the best, anyways. The Chimes Street Apartments were a great place to visit with friends. Hubert Humphrey, the Vice President in the LBJ days, went to graduate school in political science at LSU. He and his wife lived in the Chimes Street Apartments and they sold snow cones at a stand on Chimes Street to finance his continuing education!
Never been to the Camelia Grill, but I can imagine gow good it must be. The Cafe du Mond was my office away from the office when in N'awlins. I used to eat breakfast at a little greasy-spoon hole-in-the-wall cafe called the Tally-Ho Grill right down the street from K-Paul's Kitchen. I always sent out-of-towners there for breakfast, and they always gave it rave reviews. Last month a young couple who I sent there called me back and sorrowfully said that the cafe had burned down! Damn! Must have been a grease fire on the grill from that excellent home-made corned beef hash! Oh well, another great eatery will take its place! Eric The(LouisiananAtHeart,AlongWithTexas)Hun

No Oregon State didn't deserve that game, between OSU freshamn keeping the touch down ball, missing 3 extra points and stupid penalties that hurt you ALL game, you just don't win games that are even handed to you.
My wifes family is an OSU family and I can't stand getting attached to that team anymore. |
