This has to be the biggest scam in the world.

Has been into this "work from home" arrangement for about six months now. He does phone call sales for some kind of medical equipment.

I get about a half a day of paid time off of work per week to study for professional exams I need to take for my job. I usually use that half day to come home early and get some shit done (cough cough browse arfcom) before I sit down to study for the evening.

Every time, without fail, that fool is "working" on sitting out in his backyard in the sun drinking beer, or doing yard work, of f'ing his ugly (and LOUD) girlfriend.

I said "working hard huh" to him one day as I was walking in, and he said "what the boss doesn't know, won't hurt him".

You have to wonder why bosses who approve this sort of arrangment don't do more to monitor the performance of their employees.

I wouldn't let an employee do it at all if it were my choice. Maybe allowed for women with young kids who want to avoid daycare ... provided they could keep up the same productivity they would at the office.
