It'll grow into a dog eventually right?

Feel sorry for my former roomate.  The guy is one hell of a Marine, but his girlfriend just adopted a Chiuaua (however you spell the Taco Bell dog things breed) that another friend could nolonger keep.  Poor dude, he's leaving to learn to fly Hornets and yet his masculinity will come into question every time he takes the dang rat out for a dump.

Chihuahua.

They make very good guard dogs, and they love to play*.  My Mother just loves them, having owned three of them at one time or another.

*Oh, brother! but they love to play.  They are Noisy and very affectionate.  Very nice if you don’t have much room to spare.  Just be sure they are housebroken.

As GiggleSmith said, it's Chihuahua. As in, the Mexican state.

But is that a chihuahua? It looks like a very young Jack Russel.

My sister has two of those err dogs/rodents.

I just cant put them in the canine class. They seems to be a cross between a dog and a cat.

She thinks its sweet to let them sleep on her bed, they lay right on her pillow. I then pointed out to her the dog/rodent genitals and ass are laying on her pillow too. HAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHA sleep tight.

First, let me say that you have a VERY nice measuring/perspective-giveing device there in the picture.

Second.....uh, what were we talking about again.....oh, yeah...

It looks almost like a dog, only smaller.

Same thing once happened to me. It was a stray that she found. I agreed that she could keep it around till she found its owner only if I could name it. She agreed. I named it "Stir Fry".

Lumpy,

1) Don't shine them with bright lights, especially sunlight.
2) Never get them wet.
3) And whatever you do, never, ever feed them after midnight.

Kinda of a toss up whose barking rat is cuter, your chihuahua or AzK9s dapple dachshund.

To each his own.  My preferences run towards the opposite end of the canine spectrum.  I've got a Newfounland and me and the mrs. are currently planning on starting a kennel and selling newfs.

But you'd still have a cat.  Even the most obnoxious yap dog is better than almost any cat (SEC excepted).  Cats are useless for guard duty, while a yap dog is actually better than a full size mutt for checking the perimeter & sounding the alarm.

Give it some time, Lump.

A year ago the GF won a pocketful of cash from the Indians and proclaimed, "I want a little lap dog".

NO amount of goading, pleading, stomping around by me was gonna change her mind. I didn't want a "little yappy dog" or "punting dog".

Well, she came home with this little white fuzzy thing (no, you perverts, it wasn't something for her to wear) and damned it it wasn't cute as a button. And took to me like white takes to rice. In fact, this little dog pays little attention to her and I call it my "white shadow".

She's Pekinese, Maltese and schnauzer. Pretty much looks like a schnauzer with that luxurious Maltese coat. I even was the one that chose her name, Grace. (we call her Gracie)

What a dog with a TON of personality. Sharp as a tack when you train her to do something.

Her only problem is, like most schnauzers, she's very territorial and IS yappy on occasion.

She's approaching a year and a half and I'm getting successful at quieting her down in public, but she still cuts loose if she hears something outside or someone comes to the door. Funny, but small dogs always seem to have incredible hearing.

I went from not even wanting this dog to now, if someone intentionally harmed this dog, I'd exact revenge with such extreme prejudice even if it meant I spend the rest of my life being Bubba's bitch.
