    Every day at school my english teacher says how Kerry is good for the country. She says Bush is a liar and he is bad for the country. She says the war is wrong and Bush killed all of the soldiers over in Iraq. I tried to just deal with it but it its really getting annoying.
          So, heres the deal. I need some knowledge so I can call on her BS. So what do you have.

Thanks

High school or college? Counter her arguments, and if she won't let you complain to the principal.

Middle school, 8th grade. Principal is a fag, he walked in and didn't care.

First thing I would do is send a note to the principal advising him that she is espousing her personal political opinion on a captive audience.  CC the superintendant of schools and the curriculum director.  Question her openly and in your letters how this is relevant to the instruction of English.  This would be a little more suited to a civics/government class, but not really even there.

Either that or start sending her Bush/Cheney stickers in the mail.  Put one on her car during lunch hour or after school.  Wear Bush/Cheney stuff on your backpack or shirt.  Anything she says to demean you, document it.

Good luck!

Ok, saw the principal note you had.  Break the chain of command and go directly to the superintendant and mention that the principal didn't do a thing about it.

Deal with it.  There are stupid people in this world - some of them will be your boss at one point.  Learn to deal with it - get the Teacher pi$$ed off at you and it will show up in their grading.

Anyone stupid enough to talk personal politics in front of their class - especially an English class has some major phsycological issues.  Attacks on their 'position' will be taken personally and there will be personal retaliation.

This person is being highly unprofessional - don't bait the grader.

Be an adult and suck it up - and Vote BUSH come November - winning is the ultimate payback.

You really have to stand up because if this person is a teacher she could be influencing alot of young people with her talk.
Bush did not pull any triggers. He weighed the decision to send troops carefully. Any soldier takes upon themselves the knowledge that they may have to die for our freedoms. SF motto-"To free the oppressed" Not all soldiers are SF but I feel like many live by that code. The Soldiers Creed--"I am a guardian of freedom and the American way of life" not the guardian of our shores, or land only, but of our way of life Sept 11 changed our way of life and the american soldier is fighting to protect it.

Kerry lied about his purple heart.

Finally Bush is constant, he may not be what everyone wants all the time but at least he has the balls to stand up and not flip-flop like Kerry

Edit: I was under the impression this was  College

Ask her what relevance stating those things has to teaching English.

Then, when she begins to teach, ask her questions about geology.

If she's really dwelling on it write a letter to the principal cc the super of schools and ask if you can be put in a class with a teacher interested in teaching English.

Chances are since the school system makes a union look republican they will all ignore you. You can only try. In my county they would not get away with that BS.

Why not tell her you really need some of her expert help with english but your comfortable with your own political opinions right now.  However, if she would like to debate political issues tell her that would be wonderful.

Then set a date for that debate but it make sure it's after you're old enough to vote.

I work in the field of education.  Write a not, but the best thing to do is have your parent or guardian call or write a letter to the Administration.  Start with the Principal and next to the superintendent.

The best response is none at all.  If the Principal does his/her job then you teacher will just stop.  Period.  Then let it go and get to ninth.

If this is a real post...do not follow the retarded advice that will get you kicked out.  Deal with it and go on to bigger better things

Ask her if she has ever seen a mass grave full of innocent people that were slaughtered by a dictator. I have. She probably is the type that thinks that there is never a justification for war, no matter what happens. There will likely be no changing that opinion, even if you were to bring in pictures of the Kurd children that Saddam used chemical weapons against or tell her about the children that the Republican Guard used as human shields. The best thing to do would be to have your parents issue formal complaints with the principal and the school board. If your parents have the same political views as you, this shouldn't be a problem.

FOX,

Those bureaucrats love letters.  I agree that you and or your folks need to write the Principal and the District Superintendent.

I also suggest that in the letter you send you place  a "cc" comment at the bottom to your family attorney's name.

Do this and I can almost guarantee that she shuts her rotten mouth.

A neat thing to do is to visit Protest Warrior Dot Com and see how a similar student handled his situation. They profiled this kid who posted signs all over the school and what ensued. If you read that, you can get an idea of how to handle it. Post some Protest Warrior signs in your school if you want. I guarantee, you will not be the only one who thinks like you do. But be ready for the idiots to come out of the woodwork and harass you about it.

get use to it?  once you get to college you will have many more...  Liberals love to whine luckily they do very little than whine, cry and give up.

My advise is wait for her to say something really dumb then challenge it in front of the whole class.

I did that once in a big lecture, there was one issue the liberal POS didn't know much about so I let her start spouting the BS about Gun Control.

BAM nailed her to the wall and had facts to back it up, the response... I still don't like anything that can kill someone.

Well guess what I don't really care that you are scared of certain things for no reason.

There were definite ties between Iraq and al Quada, but the reason for the invasion of Iraq goes beyond that.

Islamic terrorism is based upon a hatred of the West that is the result of their envy of our success as a culture; the best long term solution is for Arab Islamic nations to adopt free market reforms and the policies of liberal Western society. Iraq is a good place to start, for a number of reasons:

1) It is central geographically in the Middle East;
2) Saddam was a despot who deserved to be taken out;
3) Saddam was violating UN resolutions, consequently there was a leagal basis for taking him out;
4) We had good reason to believe that most of the population did not support Saddam, making American intervention feasable;
5) Saddam did in fact support terrorism in various ways, including an attempt on the previous President Bush's life;
6) Saddam posed a potential risk of supplying terrorists with WMDs or other such weapons;

We have a reasonable chance of setting up a free market Iraq. That will take the focus of terrorists away from the US and make the focus Iraq, to some extent. And, longer term, it has the potential to diffuse the underlying cause of terrorism. It might not work, of course, but Kerry offers NO long term solution, only limited reactive responses.

First speak with your parents about this.  Tell your mom and dad you feel uncomfortable listening to the socialist propaganda that the teacher is spewing and that the principal is condoning.  That is WRONG, no matter WHAT side of the political spectrum they are on.

Don't call the principal a fag, even if it is true.  His sexual preferences, regardless of how perverted they are, have no bearing on their poisoning the learning environment at your school.

What school are you attending?  Where is the school located.  What is the name of the teacher and of the principal?  Tell us here at ARFCOM and possibly we can do something about this.  Some of us happen to be attorneys, or in education, or politicians or cops.

We can help.  Tell us who, where, what, when.

Find the number of the Republican Party guy in your area, a little research on the web would do it.

Borrow a micro cassette recorder, and record some of her political speeches.  Send this to the Republican Party leader in your area, tell him you think this is inappropriate for the classroom, and ask that he intercede with your local school board to stop the attempt at "brainwashing" that is going on here.

Perhaps she will go back to just teaching English.

I don't know if this is SOP, but teachers in Fairfax County PS are not allowed to mention even what party they belong to.

Sometimes you can tell, like if they're the sponsor of the Young Democrats, like my 10th grade Government teacher.

Go straight to the Super, the school board, and the PTA.
