Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - GI M1 carbine mags and cheap copies

A friend of mine is picking up a Auto Oridinance M1 carbine this week and he would like to get some milspec mags for it. I believe the 15 and 20 rounders were the original issue mags, but I don't know how to tell cheap ones from the good ones. Thanks
