It looks like a combination between a pig and a rat.  I'd call it Pigrat if I were you.

Put a muzzle on that animal.....before he gets to the children!!!

My God!

There will be blood running in the streets!

Lock your doors, and avoid contact at all cost!

No one needs these "Assault Dachsunds"!

They have no "sporting" purpose!

One in five officers killed in the line of duty were bitten by a dog once!

Ban them!

Ban them all!

It's for the children!

[/sarcasm]

Cute pup, man!

I love dachshunds, Stymie was a wirehaired Dachshund that live to almost 20 years.  He was my best buddy and I still miss him very much.

Congrats on the new pup, very nice.

Land Shark.

I had a ex-girlfreind that had a Doxie.  I seen it chase a Chow Chow down the street and another time a 120 pound Rott down the street.

Nice looking puppie.

What are they like? Are they good for kids?

I want to get one for my daughter

Pound for pound they are the toughest dog around.  I have three.

One day my wiener sent a pit bull running with it's tail between it's legs.  I guess niether of them knew who would have actually won that fight.

I have a 1 year old and a 13 year old. The teener loves it (it's "hers" really anyway) and the 1 year can't stop trying to swat it.

Yeah, good for kids, so far. Just a pup though. I'm certain she'll be fine, I've already done a little checking and she does'nt seem to have a lot of aggressive drives in her.....

Better yet, call it Prat.  Anyone from England will love it when they hear you call your dog.

Dacshunds: Half a dog high, two dogs long.

My family pretty much always had Doxies while I was growing up.

SUPER family dogs, and they know no fear. I think everyone that has owned one has a story about their Doxie facing down another dog 3 or 4X times it's size.

We had one that was a product of us breeding our full sized bitch with a miniature down the street. They all came out a lot bigger than minis but smaller than full sized.

Ours was named Max, and he had balls the size of a Columbia Red Dot. (bowling ball)

He was not afraid of our Siamese cats, no matter how many times he got his ass kicked, and once he got away from me and chased a FULL SIZED German Shepard down the street. It was funny as hell.

Careful, I heard of a disgruntled Dachshund that escaped from his yard, dug a hole in the jail wall and freed all the bad guys that his Leo owner had incarcerated.
