Here is the latest proof that we are in BIG TROUBLE!!

East Sable River - Little Billy Barnes has been busted - again.

The eight-year-old Grade 2 student at tiny Ragged Island

Consolidated School near Lockeport was suspended for a day last week after
he pointed a breaded chicken finger at a classmate and said "bang."

"Somebody told on me," Billy said.

The only person willing to say more than a few words about the ordeal is
Billy's mother, Rhonda Barnes.

"It's only a chicken finger," she said.

"There are gun rules. But this wasn't a gun. It was a chicken finger,
something that you eat. And kids do play. Especially an eight-year-old boy."

Mrs. Barnes said the suspension, Billy's second of the year, goes on his
permanent record.

Her son was also suspended for a day earlier this year after he pointed his
finger at someone and said "bang."

"I think it's going a little bit too far. He's just playing. It's just
Billy," his mother said.

"He's just a rambunctious little boy."

Billy's parents want his record wiped clean.

The little Ragged Island school houses students in grades Primary to 2.
After that, students attend classes in Lockeport.

On May 23, students were eating hot lunches when the finger was pointed at
no one in particular. Mrs. Barnes doesn't know if a teacher or pupil
assistant was in the classroom at the time.

But Billy was suspended and told to stay home on May 24.

Teachers follow the discipline policy of the Southwest regional school board
that includes a weapons category under the heading Severely Disruptive
Behaviour.

The possession or use of weapons at school, as defined by the Criminal Code
of Canada, is prohibited and may result in immediate school suspension. The
Criminal Code defines a weapon as anything designed to be used to cause
death, injury or intimidation.

The school board policy says nothing about pointing fingers - chicken or
human - or uttering the word bang.

Phil Landry, director of education for the Tri-County district school board,
said he is reviewing the matter but declined further comment.

Robert Sullivan, the principal of both Ragged Island and Lockeport schools,
was unavailable Wednesday.

"When we were kids years ago, we used to play cowboys and Indians," Mrs.
Barnes said. "We'd be shot (if we tried that) nowadays."

Both Mrs. Barnes and her husband William are avid deer hunters. They're also
responsible gun owners who keep their locked up, Mrs. Barnes
said.

Their two children have been told to stay away from the and that
they are dangerous, she added.

You needed proof?

Actually, the really insane part is that the majority of people can't see what the big deal is.

Cafeteria food can be deadly.

Someone needs to remove their head from the glue can.

It is just as bad in the U.S.A. A kid was srawing a picture of his uncle a veteran, with his service weapon, for Memorial Day. He was suspended for drawing a weapon.
